Established in 1916, the Fairfield Medical Center is a 220-plus-bed, nonprofit acute care facility. With a staff of more than 2,000 employees, the center serves the residents of southeastern and central Ohio. It maintains several off-site locations to provide audiology, wound care, speech therapy and diagnostic health services. The Fairfield Medical Center specializes in a range of cardiology services, including coronary artery bypass and interventional surgeries. In addition, the center offers clinical training programs for students pursuing nursing courses. Its emergency department provides 24-hour medical services. The Fairfield Medical Center operates Fairfield Psychiatric Health Services, Baltimore Family Practice and Carroll Medical Office. The center also offers diabetes education, outpatient nutritional counseling and corporate wellness programs. It additionally operates a store that sells medical alert watches and activity aprons.
