Belmar Women's Care PC

I have seen Dr. Rokosz for about 10 years. She is always very friendly and very gentle. I thought gyno visits always hurt, but not with her. I have recommended her to several friends and they agree with me that she is great. The office just moved and the new location is very nice. Dr. Rokosz has always taken time to answer all my questions.

Did not like this office at all! After having to find a new doctor due to insurance changes, I saw positive reviews for this office online and made an appointment. Dr. Rokosz was short with me when asking me questions about my medical history, and seemed annoyed when I had questions for her. I understand that some doctors may be to the point with their exams, but she didn't smile once or seem to want to build a relationship with a new patient. I was there for my annual exam and an IUD consultation and had many questions about both. Since I was no longer with my original doctor, I wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with someone new, especially since getting an IUD made me nervous to begin with. I definitely did not feel the warmth and care from this office, and found a fabulous new facility that treats me well and is patient with my questions. Sometimes it's all about the professionalism and care you feel from your doctor, and it just wasn't there with Dr. Rokosz.

Absolutely terrible customer and patient care. My wife went in for help and was told to leave! the story - My wife who is trying to get her hormones in order went in for help, they wanted her to sign a blank form telling her she must sign it or the doctor would not see her. Understandably frustrated she told the girl to give her the f-ing form. They then told my wife that due to her language they would not be able to see her and asked her to leave. So they are refusing to help someone who has admitted to them she has been getting angry and doesn't know why so when she does get angry (being asked to sign a blank form is ridiculous anyway) they throw her out of the office refusing to help her even when the symptoms she is there for come into play. They are shameful, unethical and no one should ever go there.

My appointment was cancelled two hours before I was suppose to come in. They have a policy that if I was the one cancelling the appointment, I would have been charged. I had been waiting a few weeks for this appointment, and I would have to wait another five weeks to reschedule with no guarantee that I wouldn't get bumped again. I understand doctors can be on-call, but if that's the case, they need to figure out a way to accommodate the people that get bumped because of this. My health is just as important, and I feel like I just don't matter. I would have been a new patient, and I have seen a lot of doctors over the years. I have never experienced something like this. Totally unacceptable!

After a friend gushed to me over breakfast how wonderful the care is here, I begrudgingly agreed to go, because I figured all gynos were roughly the same. I WAS WRONG, you guys. I went in for an IUD insertion (after an absolutely terrible experience 7 years ago where I literally blacked out from the pain), and it was simple, quick, and nearly painless. Let that settle in for a second. I had something shoved up through my cervix, and it was nearly painless. I'd marry every single member of the staff, if I could, because yeah—they're just that good.

Dr. Rokosz was very kind and helpful. However, BEWARE. They told me my appointment would be covered under my insurance. But they billed my preventative care office visit as a surgical procedure. So because they purposefully MISLABELED my bill, I am being forced to pay about $1000. Would not recommend dealing with an office that cannot label things properly.
