All Garage & Lock Service

I called upon All Denver Locksmiths (same company) to have a small old lock on my trailer opened up and the service technician, Gregg, arrived shortly after. Upon briefly looking at the lock (taking ~15 seconds to glance at it) he stated that the lock could not be picked. He then started pricing for the work at $125 or more with no guarantee that it would open. I suggested that he drill the lock because I planned to replace it -once opened- with a new cartridge lock. He then said he could possibly do it for $100, if we had cash. He obliged and drilled the lock, but did not remove it. This process took less than two minutes. I am dissatisfied because I feel that this is an exorbitant rate to be charged for an incredibly simple task. Over the phone, I was quoted $15 for arriving and $35 for picking the lock.

Drilling the lock seemed like a simpler solution than picking it, so I am confused as to why I was charged double what I was quoted over the phone for less work. Also having inspected their website, there is no service provided by your company which incurs a base cost of $100. Furthermore, upon arrival Gregg informed us that we were outside the normal service radius (claiming it added to the cost), which I had specifically asked about over the phone and was told was not an issue.

I am extremely dissatisfied with their services, feel that I have been ripped-off and taken advantage of.
