I reserved a pontoon for 4 hours for a family reunion. My reservation was for 1pm. We got there at 12:45 and were told that our reservation was not until 2pm. Fine, what can you do, the boat was not there. Boat finally arrives at 2:30. The girls working there quickly vacuum up the mess left from the previous renters. They hurry us out of the marina without showing the prop or explaining that none of the gauges worked. We went from Big Fork to Wild Horse Island no problem. When we get back in to start the boat it would not start back up. Called the office and they told us we probably flooded it and to wait it out for 10 minutes. We do that and still no luck. Call Ron, no answer. Call office again and Ron finally talks us through how to start the boat (half choke, get back by the engine and pump the gas ball until it is stiff, etc) Finally get it running after a good 40 minutes. Get back to Big Fork, now late for our dinner reservation because of boat not being ready for an hour and a half later than reserved and sitting dead in the water for 40 minutes.

Then they tried to tell us that they were going to charge us for the prop that we had damaged it beyond repair and that it wasnt in the same condition as when they showed it to us before. Problem is they didnt show it do us before and we didnt hit any rocks. Both girls at the office lied straight to our face saying that trimmed all the way up and showed us the prop while we were on the boat. Our party was 14 people and not one of us was shown the prop before we left.

Had to speak to Ron and explain to him that under no circumstances were we going to pay for a prop that we didnt damage or that we were not shown before leaving the Marina.

In hindsight it would have been a good idea to "check" over the boat before we took it out, but we were already 1.5 hours late.

Don't rent from Wild Wave. Terrible customer service, aging boats, and dishonest business practices.

Stranded for 2 hours

We rented a ski boat for the afternoon. It was supposed to be ready at 2 but we had to wait almost an hour. We should have been tipped off about the possible engine failure when the guy told us if it died just to push the throttle down and turn the key again. We tubed for about an hour then we decided to just float around for a bit. Once we were done swimming we went to start the boat again and...nothing. The engine wouldn't turnover, so after several minutes of trying we called the rental place and they told us that all their watercraft was already out on the water and it would be at least an hour before they could get out on the lake to help us. Well it took nearly 2 hours and with the water being about 55 degrees swimming for that length of time was not an option. They were kind enough to refund our money minus what we used in gas. We were a little more than frustrated and slightly worried that with 20-40 watercraft the rental shop didn't have a service vessel to assist customers out on the water.
