We firmly believe in the safety and effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness and to save lives. We firmly believe that all children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics. We firmly believe that vaccinating children and young adults may be the single most important health-promoting intervention we perform as health care providers and that you can perform as parents or caregivers. The recommended vaccines and the schedule by which they are given represent the cumulative results of years of scientific study and data gathering on millions of children by thousands of our brightest scientists and physicians. Stated simply, optimal preventative child health care includes the timely use of these childhood immunizations.We realize that parents sometimes may have questions and concerns about the safety and effectiveness of childhood immunizations, and we are committed to providing the most scientifically current and complete information to assist in understanding them. However, if despite this, parents still elect not to immunize their child, we respectfully require that they seek pediatric care for their child from another source.
