Dr. Stewart Segal (at the Lake Zurich Family Treatment Center) is a GREAT doctor. His physician assistants, Maki and Jack, are truly professional, capable, and smart. All three have truly truly good bedside manner. These are pros you can talk with. And they take the time to explain things. And they all stay abreast of the newest and latest medical information and technology.





And when any member of the family has called after hours, we get a call back -- from Doctor Segal, almost right away.



Doctor Segal's nurses and office staff are pleasant and efficient. Everybody in our family is very very pleased.





BTW (no small thing), Dr. Segal SAVED MY LIFE!

I'm a man in his mid-50's. I had accepted the advice of my mate to see Dr. Segal the next time I saw a doctor.[She and her kids and parents had been Dr. Segal patients for many years, and she always sung his praises.]

During my first checkup with him, he gave me a prescription for a stress test at a local hospital. I didn't go.

Next time I saw him, he pushed me hard, very hard, to get the stress test. I was there to get a prescription for a drug to calm my nerves. He bargained: a two week drug prescription now, and a refill ONLY if I got the stress test. He insisted I do this within a week. Insisted!

I never filled the prescription for the calming meds. Instead, I made an appointment for the stress test.

I showed up for the stress test the following Friday morning. Half-way through the test, they stopped it. They kept asking me if I was in pain. The cardiologist did an angiogram within a few hours. Before the day was over, I had open heart surgery: a quintuple (5) coronary bypass. Although I had never ever had any chest pain, I was destined to have heart failure soon without the bypass. And I wouldn't have had the bypass without having had the stress test Dr. Segal urged. Believe me, if Dr. Segal hadn't pushed me to get that stress test, I'd be dead today.

He visited me every day in the hospital. In four days I was out.

One week later, I was at his office for a routine post-surgical check-up. I told him I was tired. He listened to my heart. Immediately, he called in his staff and within minutes, I was getting an EKG. Dr. Segal watched the screen, looked at the tape, and called an ambulance. My heart had atrial flutter. That afternoon, I was on the table getting a cardiac ablation. Dr. Segal saved my life AGAIN!!



You don't have to be a sick as I was to appreciate the excellent medical care Dr. Segal, Maki, and Jack will give you. My and my mate's entire family -- us, grandparents, adult children, and grandkids -- now uses the Lake Zurich Family Treatment Center.





We have other anecdotes of the doctor and his clinic and their excellent care, and will share them on another day. In short, we highly, highly recommend this clinic.
