Muffler Man

Terrible terrible place to take your car. Brought my car in on Tuesday working and sound for some suspension work. $627 later on Friday picked up my car. Apparently it took 3 days to ship the parts from Toyota dealership. Drove it home 3 miles, did not have to go anywhere on Saturday. On Sunday took the car to Brighton for a date with this beautiful girl, noticed the car was running kind of rough, poor acceleration. On my way home the car lost all power, and stalled out in West Bloomfield about 20 miles from my house. After towing the car home for $130, I had to take Monday off work to figure this issue. Opened the hood and found that alternator cable was loose which explains why the car stalled out and died after all power from the battery was depleted. Also the car was running rough, found a wire that was unplugged coming from the throttle body. Not sure what it was responsible for but I plugged it back in. Car started and seemed to be running ok, check engine light came on after about 5 minutes. Never had a check engine light on this car. Went to Auto-zone to pull the codes.

in the 6 months that I owned this car, I've never experienced such a storm of issues. For the amount of money I paid for the suspension service I though I would be treated fairly. Not the case at this business. I suspect that this was a cheap trick to get me to come back for more services on the car. It makes sense if you mess with the alternator it will take sometime before your battery is completely drained. I will never come to this place again and urge you to stay away as well.

this place is great, there honest, and have the best prices around. I needed my a/c fixed on my car. I took it to some other place and they gave me a price of $830 and told me i needed all new components. Muffler man fixed it for $230, and only replaced what needed to be replaced...thanks guys, you have a customer for life

I went to one of the big chain muffler shops looking for an alignment on my 53 Belair. I was really worried when they told me they couldn't do the alignment because they did not have the right kind of alignment rack AND they didn't have someone who could bend my exhaust the way I wanted but the nice guy behind the counter whispered to me "go to Muffler Man right up the road, they can help you". Sure enough I went to Muffler Man and the owner himself bent a new perfect exhaust system for me and had the right kind of alignment rack to accommodate my Belair. They did a great job and the coffee was good. I'll be back!

I'm out of work and needed my brakes done badly. I went from shop to shop trying to find the best deal. Muffler Man had the best price of the other shops I went to already, but when I told the owner that I was out of work for a year-he gave me ANOTHER 20% off my parts! I was about to cry but shook the mans had and told him he had a new customer and one for as long as I live here. If you want real down to earth people who don't BS you, go to Muffler Man in downtown Lake Orion.
