        Friendly staff, prompt service...

        Friendly staff, prompt service and good food are expected. It's the way the manager and staff respond when thing's aren't going as expected that that demonstrates excellence.

        My wife had called ahead for seating for eight of us. We were dining out to celebrate my birthday. It was a typical Friday night at Longhorn, very busy. My parents arrived first and were offered a choice of immediate seating by separating the group into two booths or wait longer for tables to become available. Mom accepted the booths. A few minutes later when the rest of us arrived my wife was not happy with the seating.

        The manager, Paul Andries, quickly got involved. He and the staff handled the situation exceptionally well. They were genuinely concerned that our visit was not going as we had wanted. They were concerned, friendly and even apologetic even though the situation was not of their creation. As soon as tables were vacated the staff hustled them ready and we were offered the move.

        The food was perfect, as usual, and my family and I enjoyed my birthday celebration at Longhorn.

        Thank you for excellence.
