Herald Dry Cleaners

Herald Cleaners provides excellent service and the people there are wonderful. We have used them for years, and they will go above and beyond to make everything right. Highly recommended. It is important to use a cleaners that you can trust, and I trust Herald Cleaners.

The owner is very condescending and I have never experienced such poor customer service anywhere. Wouldn't trust them to clean any of my clothes.

After searching for new cleaner in town I was hesitant to go to this cleaners because if other review. But I have heard good things from word of mouth so I tried them. The service was excellent, fast and efficient. The owner goes out of her way to make sure all costumers are taken care of. While they're she helped a handicapped man by carrying his order outside to his car. I would recommend them to anyone, these other reviews are subjective. I am glad I didn't go by only a review.

Do Not Do Business With These People! They ruined my silk blouse and then denied all responsibility. The owner blamed me for their mess up when I tried to calmly discuss the problem with her. She became beligerent, rude, insulting, and unprofessional. The blouse was covered in chemical stains and poorly pressed. She said all customer clothes have stains on them when they come in, that's why they need cleaning. Surely, she's never heard of clothes needing to be "freshened". I tried to point out that if I had made the stain, it would most likely be in one spot, not universally covering the item. She didn't care about my blouse or losing my business!

I stopped using Herald Cleaners about a year ago for drycleaning because the quality was so poor. Clothes looked worse when I picked them up than when I dropped them off.

I recently needed some alterations done and they are one of the few places in the Lake Orion area that does them. I decided to give them a try. I had 3 skirts and 1 pair of pants done and it cost $84. This is more than I have ever paid for alterations.

When I picked the items up, I was not offered the chance to try them on. I took them home and tried them on. I was not happy with the work done on 2 of the skirts. I took them right back to the store. The owner (who had done the alterations) was not in so the girl at the counter took the 2 skirts and said the ower would call me.

The owner did call. She never asked what my concern was, she just started yelling that she had done them correctly. I decided to pick them up and take them somewhere else to be fixed.

I went in to pick them up with my 4 year old son. The owner wanted to argue with me in the store in front of my son and other customers. I asked for the skirts back and left the store.

The owner ran out into the parking lot after my son and me and was still yelling.

She asked for my ticket. I explained that I had given it to the girl (2 hours earlier that SAME day) when I originally picked up all of the items. When I brough back the 2 skirts, I was not given a ticket. She screamed that she was going to call the police and then wrote down my license plate number.

My son was terrifed and crying. It took me 10 minutes to calm him down and convince him that we had done nothing wrong and that the police were not going to come and take us to jail.

I will never be returning to Herald Cleaners for drycleaning or alterations.
