Joanne Laserna, formerly Senior Stylist of one of Maui’s most prestigious Ka’anapali resorts has opened Laserna Hair Care. She is a licensed Cosmetologist both in Hawaii and California and has over 29 successful years in beauty culture business as either a salon owner and/or operator. The original Laserna Hair Care opened in Los Angeles’ South Bay on September, 1990. Joanne is experienced and capable in all aspects of Cosmetology from make-up to braids but her specialties are colors and cuts. If you ask Joanne why you should come to her, she will tell you, “because I will treat you like a person not a task.” “I will listen to your needs and wants and I will educate you on the best ways to care for your hair.” “I can only work with one person at a time so if you’re sitting in my chair, you will have my full attention.”

When I walked into Laserna I felt ashamed that I hadn't colored or cut my hair in three months. Id also been hacking at my hair at home. Joanne took it all in stride and fixed me right up! She had an opening special which meant I got a killer deal on a cut and color and she blended my hack job into one splended cut. Her salon is so cool and soothing with its ocean colored walls and decor. It felt like my own private salon: no one but Joanne saw me with that color in my hair. I usually dread salon visits but I will be asap to enjoy the relaxed private comfort of Joanne's chair.
