Mary, Star of the Sea is a Catholic parish dedicated to worship, praise and community in the village of La Jolla, California. The parish history dates back to 1906, when a new Catholic parish was built in La Jolla and dedicated to the Blessed Virgin under her title of ÒMary, Star of the Sea.Ó The leadership of the church is under the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego. The parish is led by Rev. James E. Rafferty, and the parish's social ministries include care ministry, our Lady's guild, knights of Columbus, friends of the poor, and stewardship.
