General Info

La Crosse School District is one of the largest school districts in northern Wisconsin. The district comprises more than 15 elementary, middle and high schools, and over five charter, special education and choice centers. Located in La Crosse, Wis., it offers educational and cocurricular programs for children in grades kindergarten through 12. The school district provides a wide variety of student support services, such as mediation solutions, personal safety, counseling groups, character education, guidance counseling, math and reading summer sessions, speech, language, occupational and physical therapies, school psychology services, special education, and academic intervention services. Its special programs include reading recovery solutions, literacy collaborative, after school remediation program, professional learning community, and Riverdeep Destination math and computer program. The district s annual events include the spring musical, science symposium, art show, elementary writing Olympics, winter and spring music concerts, and parent open houses.
