Myself and family have always enjoyed dinning here at Texas Road House. Usually every 2 or 3 months my mother, sisters, brothers, grandchildren all gather at the Roadhouse. It is always friendly, make you feel very welcome and always attentive to our needs. The ribs and steaks are the best. Salads are always crips and fresh. Yes, it will be a place where my husband and I with or without our extended families we will be going back for years to come I hope. We can get in and get out in no time without feeling like we are being rushed. With family we may sit around a bit and chatter, no one has ever hurried us out the door. We like the relaxed atmosphere. One thing that is a little overpoweing and that is the music. Just a little loud. Hard to hear what the person next to you are saying.
This is one of the best bbq joints in East Tennessee. If you want good old time bbq ribs, pull pork and chicken this is the place to go. It's small place and when you drive up you may think, hum I don't know, but that's what makes this place on of the best. My 7 year old son once said, "It looks so bad, but smells so good." It really doesn't look bad its just a BBQ joint. Its suppose to look that way. You gotta try it.
Went there last weekend and had the brisket sandwich. Delicious n tender. Good smoked flavor. It came with 2 sides and a drink for under 10 dollars. I chose the mac n cheese which was cheesy and seasoned and the baked potatoe casserole. The sides taste homemade. On top of the good food, they have free complimentary ice cream cones. Good value and great food. Just wish they were open later
