Overall

No problem other than a driver who smoked, felt as if I was riding in a giant ashtray. She was fast, safe, courteous and reasonable with the rates, just needs to keep the coffin nails for breaks outside of the car.

Unacceptably long to arrive, smokey & clunky car

I called for a taxi at around 10:30am on a Tuesday (off-peak time) in the West Knox area and it took 50 mins to arrive. Even if the cab was in downtown somewhere, it only takes 10-15mins to drive from there.
The taxi driver was a smoker, so my clothes smelled of old smoke for the rest of the day and the car was a clunker - kept jerking as it had a transmission problem and the seatbelt alarm kept going off at random times (a ""system glitch"" according to the driver).
Upon arrival I realized that they're stuck in the dark-ages and didn't accept credit cards, so I had to scrounge up a handful of quarters to pay. Not very oriented toward customer convenience.
I won't bother calling them again.

A Great Taxi Service

7:11pm I called Yellow Cab for my husband. I explained to the dispatcher that my husband would need a cab in the next fifty minutes, I then asked the dispatcher if I should call back, he assured me that I did not need to call back, he stated that he could get a cab to the area that my husband would in at 8pm. I just would like to say thank you and I appreciate the customer service that I received.
