Entrust your petsâ€™ health to the talented and caring staff at Blackford Veterinary Surgery Referral. We offer clients the choice of a consultation only, or consultation and surgery the same day. Our scheduling coordinators will help you schedule appropriately based on the referral received from your primary care veterinarian. Most of our surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis. After one of our veterinary surgeons examines your pet, a diagnosis and treatment plan will be discussed with you. If surgery is the most appropriate action, it can be performed the same day, if you have been scheduled appropriately. Pain management and post operative care will also be discussed at this time. Through experience, we have found that most patients are more comfortable being at home following surgery. That means most of our patients go home the same day as surgery. This will be determined on your animal’s specific needs, and accommodations will be made if overnight care is necessary.

I am originally from NY, and was so surprised to go to a specialist thinking she needed ACL repair, and she did not! It is so refreshing to have a doctor actually listen to you, and think out of the box. Dr BLACKFORD was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, informative and I am so happy I went to see her! I would definitely recommend her!

My dog was referred here for m...

My dog was referred here for major abdominal surgery (spleenectomy) which at his advanced age, I was very apprehensive. I was also depressed thinking I would not be able to afford it. My dog Rudy had a very successful surgery under the care of the high tech team. The facilities are truly state of the art and more advanced than many people hospitals! The procedures and equipment are first class. They have many payment options including the Payment Banc which I wish more vets would offer as it allowed me to afford the major surgery. I am so happy to say Rudy's operation was highly successful and his recovery phenomenal. Both of us thank Blackford Vet for adding more years to our time together!
