I havn't seen the show about this place yet, but have been going here for about forever. It's NOT in the best part of town, but you need not worry about that here. The guys working here keep a good eye on the parking lot. Your 'pizza-hop' will be nice and if you let them know, will take your boxes or whatever and throw them away for you. It's also a drive up pizza joint. Kinda like Sonic, but they serve pizzas. They used to have phones you'd call your order in on, but the past few years went to a regular system like most drive-ins use now. Eating a pizza in a car can be a challenge, but it's doable, we do it once a month. Pretty much everything on the menu is really good. The pizza, onion rings, milk shakes, spaghetti, salads (greek is KILLER), they even have good burgers and sandwiches although most people seen to just get the pizza and onion rings. They even have beer if you have to have it with your pizza. I take about everybody I know from out of town to eat here. Just gives me an excuse to go more often. It's not the cheapest or fastest place to eat, and they don't have a restaurant (a few stools inside). I forgot if they have any outside tables for walk ins, I've always been there in a car. This place does give you fairly large portions. A couple of us can share the onion rings and we can halve a salad. As far as pizza joints go, they have a pretty good menu selection other then the ommision of hot wings, but who cares? The food is ALWAYS consistant as well. To me, it tastes like it always did. This is by far my favourite restaurant in Ktown. We don't live in town though, so it's a treat to go there.
This is a great little pizza & ice cream joint. I found it by accident one day while lost on Strawberry Plains Pk, and stopped in for directions. The owner was very helpful, and while I didn't have time to eat there at the time, I vowed to make it back and give them a try. It was worth the trip from Morristown. The pizza they serve is excellent, and unlike many places like Three Rivers, it has a home made taste, not the usual, super-greasy, over-baked pies you would find. I havn't eaten a lot of pizza in Knoxville, but I dare say this is the best topped pizza in town. We got a medium supreme and the toppings were piled higher than the crust. For desert, we went with the banana split. I'm not usually the biggest fan of this dessert, but that's what the wife was after. It turned out to be a good decision. If you're into pizza & ice cream, this is a place worth going out of the way for.
Possibly the best pizza IN THE WORLD!!! Harby's is by far the best pizza in Knoxville! In addition to pizza, they have homemade desserts which are awesome and interesting! A medium pizza with 2 toppings is just $8 and it is so good this is a great deal! The price of a larg pizza is comparable to other pizza places. Plenty of cheese, plenty of toppings! The owner is probably the hardest working man in Knoxville! He and his staff are always pleasant, friendly, in good moods. Besides the food and staff, the restaurant itself is very interesting with old album covers all over the walls. The women's bathroom is done so uniquely that I have to show it to people who have never been there whether they have to go or not! I love Harby's pizza whether it is eat in or take out., it is truely the best!
