I was first introduced to Stefanie Lindorfer almost 6 years ago (3/21/07 to be exact). To preface this I have never been a "primper", and many times described as "tomboyish". I was never concerned about a haircut because "it will always grow out", so for years I did $10 haircuts and was perfectly content. In 2007 I lost my husband of 27 years to cancer. Needless to say my personal time had been dedicated to my love and my soul mate for the previous 20 months. His death occurred during "Spring Break" and I wanted a really good haircut/style for the upcoming days of "public" appearances with friends, family and necessary business responsibilities. I wanted someone that I knew their work ethic, dedication and professionalism. My niece Heather introduced me to Stefanie. This wonderful lady transformed a red-eyed, blubbering widow into an amazingly attractive and relaxed 52 year old woman. She was kind, attentive and really looked at ME and created a style that I continue to sport (with slight variations) for 6 years now. I can never say enough about Stefanie. She has become not only a stylist but a friend. Her skills and professionalism are unquestionable and her sweet spirit are a gift she gives daily to her clients. She has won my dedication by demonstration and has my undying loyalty.

I recently went to Salon Anthony after receiving a bad cut from another local salon. I was a little nervous because I was visiting from out of town and didn't know much about the salon. That changed quickly, however. Within a minute of walking in, I was acknowledged with a smile and an enthusiastic, "Hey!" Tony Pack, the stylist I scheduled an appointment with, was working with another client so I sat down in the waiting area. The salon looked and smelled clean. It was a fresh and happy atmosphere. The client was laughing and talking with Tony the whole time. It seemed as though they were long-time friends. As soon as I sat in his chair, I realized that Tony must show everyone the same attention and enthusiasm as he did with the lady before me. I have never had such a positive experience with a stylist or salon. I left with an incredible haircut and the feeling as if I just had coffee with a friend. Salon Anthony definitely has a new long-time customer!
Owner. I appreciate all the good reviews. I'm sorry for all the bad experience people have had. We have moved from the roach infected place. We are now in a beautiful clean home. We didn't know the old place had roach until we move there. When I realized it, I looked for another location. I was so embarrassed about the roaches and I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Some of the other reviews are people from other braiding shop writing them. I pray that you accept my apology and pray that one day you will experience a satisfy service at Joana's.
I have been to every braiding shop in Knoxville. Joana's is the best braiding shop ever. I got my micros done two weeks ago and I love it. My braids are neat and not big in the middle. I got a sow in the last time I went in there. My sow in was so beautiful. It last me 4 months the hair she used was soft and silky. It did not tangle one bit. This is the best place to get your done.she has a lot of haters that are trying to mess up here business. If you want to be satisfied. GO TO JOANA
Hello everyone, Joana is an excellent african hair stylist along with her staff and they did my micros with the curly hair. Wow they have the best salon and take their time with you to make sure you are statisfied. In all the people out there that is hating on her you dont know what you are missing and like they say when, you hate in a person for their creativity that came from God then you have already missed you blessings. Great job Joana I will always be a loyal client.
I been to many salons. This is the best my hair have ever been. I worker are so nice. I had a blast. I love the African movies. I' 've never had this much complements. These African ladies take there time to make sure your hair is right. Go here no where else. Here competitor are jealous so they ask people to right bad reviews on her page. This is the best African hair braiding if you want your hair right
Florence does a GREAT job on micros! I've been to her two times at Touty's and she's done them in four hours and i love the hair. Touty's hair salon only uses one type of hair unlike other places that use like 10 different types of braiding hair. The hair quality is much better too. They don't braid the micros too small though, but it's better for your hair. My edges never come out when I go here.
I have been going to Claudia Caves & Dustin Stewart for cut and color since Spring 2009. I have received so many compliments on both my cut and my color; I've had some people tell me I look younger, and some people ask me if I've lost weight! I haven't lost weight yet, but with my cute new look, I'm inspired to look as good below the neck and I do above! ;-)
Salon Visage is the best salon in Knoxville, hands down. Priscilla has cut my hair for 3 years now, and I will never go to anyone else. I can trust her, and she listens to me. Alyssa is now my new colorist and she is wonderful as well. You can easily spend $200 on a cut and color, but in the end you'll look amazing and never regret your decision.
Friendly people. I'm so glad the place was clean because because I seen the reviews below so that made me to not want to go there. But that day, I had a bad experience at another braid place so I just took the risk. Surprisingly her place is beautiful and they did such a great job. This is the best braids I have ever gotten. Thanks Joana
