I went to these people because my laptop keyboard stopped working. I had spilled a little soda on it and the next day half my keys didn't work...( i had it flipped upside down to try to keep any fluid away from my keyboard)
I take it in they say they can order me a keyboard for my HPdv9000 for $140.00 ( giving you the model number of my pc so you can look up how much a keyboard actually costs.)
Well I paid the money they said if it didn't work I couldn't have my money back because it was a consumable part. K fine. I go in the next day because I was called at 9am and told my laptop is trash that soda got onto my motherboard and its fried. So I show up to pick up my computer and upon opening it up I find the tab button on my new keyboard isn't even on...i'm like can you fix this to the one short guy and he says sure...well it takes him ten minutes to try to put it on when he did it wouldnt press down and then after fiddling with it for another 10 min he asked Ian (the other guy) if it was on right?!?!?! I'm assuming being he works there he should know this stuff BUTTT to my suprise Ian says " don't even worry about it its trash"!!! and I'm like hey I would atleast like it back the way I brought it in..THEN.. I ask why my lights are now not working on my keyboard when they were the day before..Ian said they shorted out...Keep in mind my pc still starts up and works fine but my keyboard doesn't work everything else does I can even surf the web...They tried over and over to get me to buy a $500 Acer POS. I told them it's not what I want or what I needed compared to all the specs I added to my computer no way was I taking a pos without even a ten key let alone no fingerprint slide, cam, 17" lcd monitor, 4gigs of ram and a bad a*^ video card or blu ray player ( which they didnt even know my pc had. yet they had it taken apart) ...Oh meanwhile I'm listening to Ian yap on the phone to a lady who he apparently replaced a harddrive for he pulled hers out put one in and she said it isnt showing up as its there yet hes tryign to blame her computer for it. DUDE YOU REPLACED IT WTF. If it's not showing up its YOUR fault!
I went over to absolute computer Tell them what I've been through with klamath onsite and talked to a lade and a guy who worked there they said they would take a look at it.... while I'm standing there he found me a keyboard online for 30 bucks! I leave and ten minutes later I get a call saying my computer works come pick it up..I go there the problem never was soda a friggin wire disconnected from my keyboard which an idiot who had the thing taken apart should have noticed and the reason my lights didn't work..... because Ian the guy who worked on my pc didn't even hook them up or the new keyboard for that matter...all I have to say is if you want screwed go to klamath onsite but honestly they don't know WTF they are doing. Oh meanwhile he lets me subtley know hes working for cash gee I wonder why.
