This recent job in Kingsport expanded a 18'x12' room to a new dimension of 18'x18' Screen Room. 18â€™x12â€™to start. The cedar accents include a 4x4 support post, 2x10 beams for room trusses with a 6/12 pitch. We used Architectural shingles to match the homes existing roof and added 3" knee walls with cedar framing and aluminum black ballasters for east viewing.

Room Additions
The new year begins with a new room addition for this family farmhouse in Stanley Valley in Hawkins County. Mr. Fix It recently completed a 28'x24' Master Suite addition from the ground up.

This brand new deck on Fall Creek Road in Kingsport was a complete demolition from an old outdoor deck to a 19' x 12' screen enclosure that included a 2x10 floor system on a 6" x 6" post. Now that's a robust support system and will last for many years.

Landscaping and Fencing

Driveways
From the driveway, there are 4' wide steps with 11" step treads and tread backing. All the handrails are sandwiched black aluminum balusters with a routed top rail. It's sturdy too, with 2x4 treated framing for the handrail construction.

Window Installation/Replacement
For the final touches, we installed wood trim along with the base and shower molding and also installed additional trim around the door and windows.
Decks
Here's a new deck we finished recently in Church Hill. This 16'x12' screened enclosure is like two decks in one. There's an 8'x12' open deck for grill gear and both accessed by two stair sets that are 4' wide and a 4'x4' landing.

There's also an insulated ceiling with a gorgeous 1"x8" tongue and groove pine ceiling with covering beams and inside gables. Finally, to accent the outside, there's a Larson Tradewinds storm door with roll-up screen along with matching railing, and 44" wide steps - finished with new gutters and down spouts.
Garage Door Repair/Replacement
Here's a brand new sunroom and extension from Mr. Fix It - We just finished this gorgeous 20'x16' Sunroom with a one car garage that includes an insulated 9'x7' Regency garage door. The garage has a matching brick foundation to match the rest of the home and appear as if it was built to spec.
Siding
We also removed vinyl siding and installed channel rustic wood on the main house wail and continued the interior by buildout out a 1â€³x8â€³ tongue and groove continuous cedar ceiling. Thereâ€™s even an open gable on the roof with a cedar finish and nice mount and outset for a big-screen tv for those nights in the hot tub.

Residential Roof Replacement/Installation
There's a great roof over part of the deck that serves as a warm patio. The framed 2x8 roof system has a 2x10 wall ledger set with 4x4 posts and 3.5"x10" beams over the posts. The roof itself has roof sheathing, felt, architectural singles with wall flashing and vinyl soffit and fascia for an exterior finish. We've even insulated the roofing with R-19 insulation and completed the interior finish with a cedar ceiling.
