I took a $3000. bracelet to this jeweler to get an estimate on either repairing the clasp or adding a safety chain & left it with a nice lady, Becky, who was helpful in answering some questions about the possible solutions for my bracelet and some other jewelry that I was interested in. Before I left, she said I would be called when an estimate was complete. Over a week passed, I hadn't heard from them. I called, was told that repairs to the clasp were complete, at a $21. cost. I told her that, repairs hadn't been authorized. When I was off from work, I went to pick up the bracelet. An older female named KIM, w/blondish hair, pulled back, told me "yes, the ticket/envelope w/bracelet said: first call with estimate, ESTIMATE wrote in very big letters." But, KIM said she wouldn't give the bracelet back without a $21 payment. I told her I wouldn't pay for unauthorized repairs. She offered to take $16. or undo repairs so I could have bracelet back. I repeated to her that I refused to pay for unauthorized repairs, especially when we had not even discussed which route to take repairing the bracelet. KIM took the bracelet back to the repair office where I could see her LAUGHING, talking to some man and pointing at me, waiting by the counter. I couldnt tell what KIM was doing when she stepped away to another area, but I could see that she was doing something. KIM went and bent the clasp badly, part was falling off, the clasp was in much worse condition than when when i took it in and now the whole clasp has to be replaced at other jeweler. It was a horrible experience!
