Renters Beware, especially military! We rented a long term rental for 2 years from AHIKW. We should have gone with our gut instinct and not rented from them, as they were very difficult to work with when first trying to rent the apartment. We first contacted AHIKW, 5 months before moving to Key West about an apartment that was going to be available. After going through the application process we sent a $500 deposit, ... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag Abuse

I have been visiting Key West for over 15 years and for at least half of that time I have dealt with AHKW exclusively for my housing needs. As long as they are around I see no need to seek out another company.
Not only do they hold their property owners to a high standard of unit maintenance and amenities, they work with guests to find the best possible price and situation to suit your needs out of a wide varie... view more
I have been using AHKW for 4 years now to manage my home in Key West. They have always demonstrated the highest professionalism and care both for our property and the guests who rent it. In four years I have never heard of a serious guest complaint. On the contrary, guests have told me how happy they are with the ease of the reservation process, convenient checkin, and responsiveness of AHKW if a problem arises in ou... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
I've used At Home in Key West for month long visits for four years running and I've stayed at different places. Each house had it's own charm and amenities that reflected the owner tastes and pocketbook. One was INCREDIBLY swank and a huge treat. One was only necessities and quite passable and another that is the perfect mix for my needs. I've had some issues arise at each of these houses, a few being my own lack of ... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
We have rented the same apartment in Bahama Village for the past 3 years -- the first couple of years for one month, and most recently for 2 months. Next year we plan to do the same. Aside from the fact that we have fallen madly in love with Key West, Gale Killon and her staff at At Home in Key West have always done everything to make our stay enjoyable. No, not just enjoyable--heavenly! There has never been a tim... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch

After spending a month in a rental that had one problem after another, we were informed we would not be getting our security deposit back. Why? Some of the bogus reasons included the presence of pet hair (in a pet-friendly house) and the little pom-poms that fell off the ""decorative pillow cases.""
The description of the house should have included ""no pets with hair, no kids that act like kids and no people lo... view more
On a recent stay my group was not given their deposit back and was charged extra for damages not caused by the group. After trying to resolve amicably with out success, we had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (results still pending).\r
There are plenty of other places to stay in Key West and I would highly recommend doing so.
