The Auto Works

I had a serious equipment failure with my 1998 GMC turbo diesel, while on Prince of Wales Island. It looked like an engine replacement was required. I am Canadian, and was on holidays with my RV. I had my unit barged to Ketchikan, and contacted Auto Works to explain my predicament. The guys were excellent, and felt that the problem could probably be repaired without going through the expense of replacing the motor. John met me at the freight yard and examined the vehicle. He said it could be repaired, and took care of ordering the part required, as well as arranging for the tow to his shop. All I had to do was take care of my accommodation, and juggle ferry schedules; an immediate stress relief! Auto Works had my vehicle repaired and I was on the road and back home only 3 days behind my original schedule. Thanks to all the folks at Auto Works for the great service! I highly recommend them for any of your vehicle repair needs.

I apologize to the one star rating, whomever the actual customer may have been. I feel like we put out a good product at a fair price that is reliable and accurate and I personally try to make everyone feel at ease regarding the repairs performed on your vehicle. Although I'm not the boss nor a mechanic, I try to explain what work needs to be completed on your vehicle for safety and how that could be a detriment for you and the other folks on the road. I also try to convey what is a comfort or convenience that you don't necessarily have to repair. We also stand behind our work. This is a small town and you can't get away with doing it any other way. There is a reason we are busy every day without advertising. No one can make everyone happy but I try awfully hard. I came across the poor rating when a customer was looking for our phone number today. This was the first thing that came up. She only clicked on the review because she thought it was odd that it was only one star. I feel terrible that someone had such a bad experience but this was rather personal. I will be giving this review to my customers and asking for them to review me and post it on this site, which I don't believe we ever asked to be on. Good luck and thank you for your time.
