I recently accompanied my wife who has had a nauseous feeling for 4 days, cramps and a pain in her wrist. Though it was my first time there she has been a patient for years. She has complained about the rudeness and attitudes of both staff and doctors every time she has had to go ( she should have switched after the first negative experience but she kept putting it off).
Let me walk you through what happened. The receptionist was very friendly and quick. The wait time was probably a few minutes. The nurse that saw us seemed uninterested in her job, the doctor came in nearly immediately and asked a series of questions and started checking her. He mentioned her stomach problem might be contagious but wasn't able to tell us how ( we asked because we have kids and she works in a office). He mentioned that her pains in her wrist might be a problem with her nerves and he was going to refer us to a specialist,We tried to ask as few questions regarding that but he held a finger up shutting us up. He also said blood work had to be done regarding the cramps and the results would be a few days ( understandable). After that he told my wife to go to the lab, I asked if that was it (because it felt so rushed)and he said we were done and just left. Not giving us a chance to ask questions regarding the referral or even directions as to where to go. We eventually found it( the lab). The lady that took my wife's blood was nice and professional. After that they told us to go to the checkout desk before we leave. The first and closest checkout desk we went to had a closed sign. We then walked around before we found another checkout desk that had the same sign and was a few feet from 3 staff members who were at their desk. All three looked at us but quickly looked away . When we asked the closest one where to check out from she rudely said in an irritated tone to go out front to the receptionist.
I am an Asian American and my wife is of Hispanic decent. I don't know if race played a factor or if they just assumed we didn't speak English and just didn't want to deal with us. We are both educated professionals but regardless ,the bottom line is I was disgusted and upset at the treatment we ,let alone my wife has had to deal with. This is my first and last time going there and will encourage my wife to find a new family doctor.
The point of this review is that this is your health , your well being and should not be taken lightly. There are others that have had similar experiences and have posted it. so if you are looking for a family practice, be cautious of this place because your well being does not seem to be a priority with them.
