  installed the mobile home quickly , got…

  installed the mobile home quickly , got me the model I wanted, let me do the foundation and electrical when other dealers insisted on doing it all. saved me a lot of money at the peak of housing boom when contractors were extremely busy and construction was expensive. downside the installers did a poor job., duct tape doesnt last to repair rips in plastic that supports the insulation under the mobile. roof leaked because several of the roof vents were crushed. hacked a huge hole in the floor with a sawzall for the dryer vent ,, dropped a plastic tube through the floor and called it good. the shingles were not a standard three tab composition type and the shingle manufacturer specifically stated on the bag do not use as ridge cap. they did anyway and arguing the point was a waste of time , The Ridge cap doesn't look great but hasn't caused and leaks that I can tell . fasteners were missed in serveral places causing some squeaks in the floor and seams to seperate in a few places in ceiling. Help they hired and fired during the course of the installation did enough damage that I finally decided forget the warranty and fix the stuff myself . Pretty sure the crew thought I was perfectionist and was being picky anyway. After reading the installation manual and working with a professional mobil home repair person on a few problems, I found a few more things that were done incorectly. but not nearly as bad as some of the horror stories I read on the internet in the process of doing research. One thing they did that was a great idea was installing twice the number of required support stands. This made releveling the home easy only requiring a minor adjustment after two years. Overall not a great experience with Kerman Mobile homes, but they were very flexible on purchase.

  poor setup and customer service

  Set up was poor, customer service even worse. Kerman mobile homes does not have professional set up people, many unhappy employees and high turnover in staff. They just don't seem to care about doing things right or training and keeping employees .Gave up on the warranty and made repairs myself.

  Kerman Mobile Homes Inc's number one priority is customer service. We strive to make our customers happy with their purchase. The setup crew has been with Kerman Mobile Homes, Inc. since 1992 and were previously employed with Mack Lazarus doing the same work. The setup crew is very experienced and do an excellent job. It is also unfortunate that someone would comment about our employees being unhappy and that we have a high tun around in staff when the reality is that we have had the same employees with the company for over 10 years. I strongly believe that this message was not posted by a customer due to the fact that our customers would have no information as to the employee turnover or that our current employees are unhappy.
