My daughter and I went to the Kent East Hill Goodwill at 5:20PM looking to get her a table cloth. I'm writing this review because we received excellent service. The ladies working the shift were all in good spirits and friendly with the shoppers; more importantly for me, they were also on task and moving things along so that shoppers found what they wanted, paid, and were on their way in fairly short order. Probably as a result of this good service, we ended up buying not only a table cloth but also a large brown comforter, some clothing for a young infant, a glass to replace a broken item at my home, and some warm clothing for my daughter to wear to work. Good job, Goodwill.
I've been to several of the Value Village shops. I've been to the one in Kent, Southcenter area and Des Moines. The one in Kent is my least favorite. It's always so hot in there...and the things seem old and icky. I much prefer the south center and then the Des Moines VV. I feel its worth the drive. They are pretty clean, but sometimes the they put the tags on top of the brand names which I hate and also they "bag" up things together which I also hate. I would prefer they mark things individually...my 2 Cents.
I've been to several of the goodwill's around the area and the one in Kent on benson is a good one. The one complaint I have is that I usually buy quite a lot...and they have a device there that keeps carts from going outside now. What? I always bring my carts back when I use them - but this seems extreme. So now I've had to try to carry out my things with my bad back...besides that it seems well stocked with good turnover of times, prices a bit high, customer service good.
