On Thursday, July 29, 2010, I went into the Kenosha Luxury Limousine office located at 6814 39th Ave, Kenosha, WI. I spoke to Michelle about hiring their company to transport my husband and cousin to an event in Tinley Park, IL on August 17th. I was told that the total including the tip for the round trip would be $396. I proceeded to pay IN FULL at that time. I explained that I wanted to make sure that we secured the date, the transportation was set, and my husband would not have to worry about anything since this was a birthday present I was presenting to him. Yesterday, on 8/17, 2.5 HOURS before the scheduled pick up, I receive a phone call from Michelle stating that the owner told her to call me and let me know that they undercharged me by $100!! I told Michelle that I paid for the service IN FULL almost 3 weeks prior and that was that. She said that they underestimated the mileage and that I would have to pay the additional $100. I told her that was unacceptable and deceptive business practices. I could NOT find another service to replace them 120 minutes from the pick up time and it was too late for me to take off work to do it myself. I was told I didn’t have a choice. The car arrived as scheduled. However, if all this wasn’t bad enough…the driver damaged my property when dropping off my husband last night. He ran over landscaping at the end of the driveway when he almost drove the limo over the edge. He got out and apologized but that didn’t repair the damage. This morning, I see that this company put through a charge of $100 on my debit card. Not only was this entire experience awful it’s deceptive. Is this legal? We had a signed agreement and they put through an additional 25% charge the DAY OF the service??? BEWARE and if you want to take that chance…pay in CASH so that they can’t charge your bank card more money then authorized… the morning of service!!
