Gateway Cafe

Michelle waitress was very rude. She talked to another table avoiding us early in the morning when place wasn't busy for about 15 minutes. When I finally called her to the table, she became rude and refused to serve us storming off. I called Peter the owner and he did not seem to be concerned even hung up on me when our conversation was not done. I called back immediately and they said he was gone which was a lie. The neighboring restaurant stated that people complain about Michelle and their staff all the time. Not people I want to do business with!

though I like the food ok, it has been my experience to have every take out order made wrong. If I ask for no onions, it is loaded with onions. Sometimes the food is thrown together fast and half cooked. I've had white potatoes with my skillet many times. gross. If the cook were paying $9 for breakfast, he would probably take some time to cook it right.

the lady at the counter made a very racist remark to me about the cooks. I felt it was in very bad taste and never returned.

What a shame. The food is ok. The owner runs around all nervously asking everyone if everything is ok, telling them the food will be out shortly. Maybe he should get back there on the line and make sure the orders are correct. No onions in a skillet that requested no onions would be a refreshing change.

I have been going to Gateway for years and have never had bad food. The resturant is keep very clean and waite staff are very friendly.

I wouldn't recommend going there unless your older. Went there with a few of my friends. The food wasn't good. No flavor at all. Too much butter, almost drowning in it.
