I went here today because my tire light was on and they were able to help me quickly and feel safe. Very nice, very wonderful people. I really appreciated it.

Awful. Just awful. Don't bother going to this good year. It's a sad sad place. I came in around 10:30ish for a simple oil change and the wait was about 30 minutes. Nope. I was there until 1:45!!! Like that's too long to wait for a oil change. Oh plus no one even said anything about how long it took. The worst place to go for car problems. Also they charged a little much for it. I honestly will never go back there again. The worst place. I hope they read this and feel some type of shame.

I had a bad experience at C & N Goodyear. They charged me for a minor service that was never done. When I went back to get the matter remedied, I was yelled at and ordered to leave the building. The owner of the facility was belligerent and his right had man behind the desk was arrogant and condescending and both were completely dishonest claiming that they had installed an alternator belt that was never put in. The confrontation escalated into a loud argument, but I left peacefully. I only got satisfaction when I went to my credit union and successfully got a refund for the amount for which I was defrauded. The amount of money involved was small (below $100) but the miserable attitude is what really stands out. Also, by tricking me into thinking that both alternator belts were in place, they caused me to drive around for a week believing that everything was fine while nearly wrecking my alternator. If you've had any work done by this outfit, remember to look under the hood and make sure it was actually done. If you payed with a credit card, you should be prepared to dig up your receipt, get the missing service done by another garage and provide supporting documentation thereof (which is what I did). That should be all that your card issuer needs.

In summary, what I'm saying about this episode of misconduct at C & N Goodyear is not just my opinion but is supported by the refund issued to me by my credit card issuer. If C & N has an argument in its own defense, it would be that the belt simply could not be installed because of a faulty mounting bracket and that they did indeed tell me about the bracket which I did not want. According that that argument, the disputed charge was really for the effort to unsuccessfully replace just the belt but not the bracket. The problem with that argument is that the receipt plainly shows parts and labor for work that was never completed. Furthermore, they never explained to their customer, (who happens to be a non-mechanic) what the mounting bracket is and that replacing the mounting bracket was absolutely necessary for getting the belt put in. They did mention that the mounting bracket was bad but rather then telling me the whole truth, they yelled at me and ordered me out of the building and left me to figure out on my own what was going on by mentally filling the gaps in their shoddy communications.

The right hand man behind the desk whom I cited earlier is someone who fancies himself as a kind of sales guru but part of his game involves throwing out clever sales closes while failing to inform and indeed misinforming the customer. His listening skills were so poor that when I initially had him get the vehicle towed, he couldn't understand where the vehicle was even when I gave him the exact intersection. (I had to ride with the tow truck driver.) I found the communications skills of his boss, the owner, to be similarly lacking in this matter. The two things that C & N did do for me were putting the alternator back on-line (by reconnecting a ground lead) and recharging the battery thereby enabling me to drive off with only one of two alternator belts in place thus putting the alternator itself in jeopardy of being damaged, all the while thinking that everything is fine. Thanks guys. I don't know what experiences other clients have had but my experience was completely negative. I spent an entire day at the shop plus a shorter return visit plus one more failed attempt to get remediation and got terrible service and nearly had my alternator smoked, not to mention the hassle of having to gather the necessary paperwork for my credit card issuer. I really can't think of anything nice to say about the place except that their coffee wasn't bad. I could use a repair place with bad coffee. If I could, I would give negative stars.

Exceptional Service

We've been using this shop for several years and couldn't be more pleased. There is no over charging, no trying to get you to have repairs that you don't need. These guys will tell you what needs to be done now and what can wait so you can save for the services if necessary. And they treat you like people, not money. When my wife was pregnant and very close to her due date her car broke down and had to be towed. The repairs were going to take a day or two and the guys here offered her one of their personal cars because they didn't want her home without a car until I got home from work. That says a lot!
