Colonial management lied to us then ripped us off of our security deposit:
An employee of the company told us in person and twice on the phone that the security deposit would be returned since we found a new tenant to transfer the lease to... the new tenant also paid the $795 security deposit for essentially the same lease.
The employee of the company also told us that the "check is in the mail" but all we received was a copy of the lease.
This company has been nothing but great and understanding about everything. They take care of repairs quickly and they are fair and reasonable with everything. I felt like my billings came on time and were itemized. When i moved out, I cleaned the apartment to how it was when I got it and I got my full security deposit back, timely. My apartment was nicely updated and the building well taken care of through the year.
I would definitely recommend them and I would rent from them again if I move back to Keene.
If you could give zero stars then I would. They do not even deserve one star! Please be aware of this company. They never give an itemized bill for anything yet charge you whatever they want for heat/hot water/security deposit returns. They laugh in your face when you ask for an itemized bill or challenge what they are charging you and say to bring them to court because they win every case they've ever had. They are huge slumlords and should not be in business in my opinion and also many others that I've talked to and other reviews I've read. Watch out!
