butchered tattoo

I got an in memory tattoo for my father and got home and realized Kevin didn't obviously know when to refill on the ink. Now I have to get it touched up two years later by someone else cuz they aren't open now.

Irezumi Body Art

Kevin is an awesome tatoo artist and is highly recommended. As for piercing Adam, is wonderful!! This has to be the cleanest Tatoo Parlor I have ever seen and the artist and piercist are very friendly!!! The atmoshphere is toatally calming, very clean and the best place ever to get a tatoo or piercing done!!!!

Irezumi on Westport ROCKS!!!

My evening of spontaneously getting a tattoo was almost SQUASHED by the rude tattoo artists at Irezumi's on WORNAL!!!! However, Irezumi's on WESTPORT took care of my needs! Steve ensured I received an awesome tattoo that was creative and expressive...everything I wanted and more. Thank you so much Steve for staying late to add style, creativity, and a smile to my face after such heartbreak at Wornal. Beat feet downtown to WESTPORT for an exceptional, first-class tattoo experience!!!!

Go see Stormy in Westport

I just got my first tattoo at Irezumi in Westport. Stormy did an AMAZING job! He is a very talented artist. I never thought I could have such a pleasant experience at a tattoo shop. Very friendly, professional, clean and not intimidating.

Alli is Amazing. This is the place to go! Best place in KC

Walking in the door for my first Tattoo I was petrified. Alli was very professional and reassuring. She went slow to start with me, knowing I was extremely nervous. with me fearing the worst, she did the first line, and I was so relieved that all the anxiety I built up in my mind the day before was all for nothing.

She was kind, informative, patient, and is very gifted in her craft. I asked for bold thick black out-lining in my color tat and it is flawless. She was really willing to work with me to incorporate all of my ideas into the tattoo, even up until the last minute. She was wonderful.

The studio is super clean, with plenty of artist portfolios to view if there is need for a wait. (Not in my case, but I wanted to view the portfolio's anyway, they are really impressive). Even the other staff that aren't artist are very welcoming.I had such a wonderful first experience. I HIGHLY suggest Irezumi to anyone in the area. I will not be going anywhere else for any of my future work.

Alli = awesome

I walked in randomly during a visit to K.C. After deciding what I wanted, Alli helped me fine tune my idea. It was a script tat, and she suggested letting her tweak the script I chose. Her idea looked totally awesome so we went ahead and got to work. The process was neat, clean, and super quick, with Alli being a lot of fun to talk to. The tat looks fantastic! The high level of detail and skill is very apparent. I would recommend Alli to anybody.

I love my tattoo, but the experience was horrid.

I came to Irezumi Body Art to get a tattoo; I had the entire image I wanted on a memory card for the artist. The girl behind the counter decided she would rather find her own version of my tattoo online as a starting point instead of using the exact image I wanted. While doing her own research she was mocking my and belittling my choice of art. Upon forcing the exact image in front of her face for the second time she drafted the piece. After a back and forth the artist the outline was finished. While I was filling out my release forms a few other people came into the shop and she decided instead of assisting them with brainstorming their tattoo. She would simply direct them to her website. Her website would be referenced about 8 more times during my visit. It would seem instead of having actual customers she would rather have more hits on her page. After the lines where pulled from the piece we where setting up the tattoo and she would not let me place the piece how and where I wanted. Telling me that my choice was wrong and not what you should do. It is my choice, I am a customer. Helpful suggestion is one thing, being rude and telling me I am wrong is not the correct way to handle the situation. Trying to avoid further conflict we compromised on a middle ground of the angle and position. When I asked for specific details on the tattoo such as shadows, glow effects or a colored outline I was told once more that I was wrong and she would not do this. The area was cleaned in front of me and I laid down to start the process everything was moving forward fine until she stopped half way through the outline and removed the needle and said it was crappy. I was shocked that she could not have found this out sooner, like before she started the actual tattoo! I was getting a new tattoo, I was nervous; I tried to chat with the female artist during the process. Any attempts I made to have small talk were met with short and rude replies making it feel like speaking with me was a bother for her. As a tattoo artist I would expect some level of common courtesy and an ability to make me feel comfortable and enjoy the actual process, not like I was a bother. After the tattoo was finished I asked if she would like me to email her pictures of the healed work for her website, she said sure. However she would not post the pictures on the website as it was not her own piece of art. This was very rude and inconsiderate to take something that I see as art on my body and look me in the face and say it is not. While I was waiting for my ride to return to get my I mentioned they where getting pierced at another shop who they where friends with they decided to take that time to ridicule and mock the other studio. This is extremely childish and immature of a place that should be focused on professionalism at all times. I paid for my tattoo and left the shop. I will not return to her nor can I suggest anyone who is extremely trendy and fake to visit this location. I love my tattoo, but the experience was horrid.

Irizumi Rocks!

I get all of my ink done at Irezumi. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do as good of a job as they do. All the guys are great and helpful. They care about what YOU want from little pieces to full body stuff. They are amazing! They have been in Kansas City a very long time and aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Very clean, very professional, very perfect!
