I bought my dress at another bridal store in september 2010 . I am a wedding photographer and by the time my wedding got closer I had already seen 3-4 brides that had dresses similar or just like mine. I no longer felt special or content with my dress. I was ill over the thought of trying to find a new dress in a months time! So I went to Altar bridal hearing that they do a lot of custom work and they took me in ( even though I didn't buy my dress there) feeling my pain and they were able to turn my dress into a beautiful one of a kind number! It seriously looks special and unique and they listened to EXACTLY what I wanted and somehow magically were able to transform my "popular" dress into one that was just for me. I am SOOO glad I went there - you seriously couldn't ask for better customer service!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Altar Bridal- both the store and people are fantastic! After several attempts at dress shopping at many of the popular retailers in town, I had become less than excited about the whole process. What is fun about not being able to look at the dresses, dealing with rude/stuck-up staff, and the pressure tactics used by many other stores? The first time I visited Altar Bridal, I knew it was something special & different. The look of the store is open and modern and all of the dresses are out on the racks for you to look at. The owner, Dede, is so welcoming and friendly and the rest of her staff is awesome as well. You can tell that Dede loves what she does and wants all her brides to have a fun, relaxing experience. I am an extremely picky and indecisive girl and Dede has been so patient with me. I have not bought THE dress yet but that is probably because there are so many fabulous ones to choose from! I know with Dede’s help, I will find my dress & I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!

Altar was the third spot that I went to look for a dress my first day out. It had been a long day and was getting into the evening, I was ready to call it a day, but when I walked in that all changed. The atmosphere, the service and most importantly the dresses pepped me up immediately. I was instantly excited and had a boost of energy working with the girls and ultimately finding THE dress. I left that evening with a few in mind, but there was one that was on top of my mind. 2 days later I was back and bought THE dress. I could not have made that decision without their help. They were professional yet personal to your specific needs and wants and it made all the difference in the world and helped an indecisive person decide what I truly wanted. From the service to the selection, Altar made my experience one of the best in my wedding planning and I would highly, highly recommend them to everyone!!!

I absolutely loved my day at Altar! The boutiquey-feeling store is so inviting and cozy and the staff is more than welcoming and friendly. Upon entering the store I had already fallen in love with the dresses in the window. Inside the selection was great and so was the quality. I loved the set up of the store with large fitting areas for individuals and a great set up of community stands in front of the mirrors. The Saturday I went in was a trunk show complete with food and beverages for me and my guests to enjoy. After finding my dress the Altar associates continued giving me full attention bringing out accessories to try and other details to play with. They were not over-whelming in a sales-pitch sort of way, they were trying these things because they were having fun with it, too. I cannot say enough, the day I bought my dress from Altar was one I will always remember.

I’m 11 years into a happy marriage, but recently thought of Altar when looking for a special gift for a good friend. I selected a beautiful red fabric rose as a hair accessory and was impressed with the representative’s creative suggestions on additional uses for the flower, such as pinned at the waist with a sash. I also appreciated the warm and attentive service I received even though I was not in the market for a larger-ticket purchase. I was excited to walk away with a unique and memorable gift. Of course, I couldn’t resist a peek at the gorgeous dresses … what an amazing selection for today’s brides!

Altar is different from every other bridal store in KC. They have unique dresses you won't see anywhere else, and the customer service is exceptional!

I went to Altar because I was looking for something different. When I walked in, I was greeted by the lovely Dede and Alicia. They were so welcoming and accommodating to what I wanted. I am making an appointment next week to buy my dream dress!!

Altar was unlike any other KC bridal store I've visited. The space was contemporary, open and airy. The dresses were a fresh mix of local and national designers. Altar is a breath of fresh air for the KC bridal scene.

Adorable bridal boutique! You have to check it out. The gowns are gorgeous, the space is relaxed and open, and the staff is so friendly. Great accessories too, so I will be back for special events!

I had a great Altar Bride experience--the finishes and details in the newly renovated space are beautiful. I loved the airy, relaxed feel which came through from both the atmosphere and the staff. I tried on three amazing, modern dresses. They also have great accessories for brides, bridesmaids and special events, so even if you are not looking for the perfect dress, stop in and enjoy!

Amazing decor/design, all of the dresses are out on the floor for you to see (LOVE that), the staff is friendly and not pushy, the dresses are unique and so incredibly gorgeous. I love that the dresses aren't the same ones hanging in every other bridal store. I had a great experience!

The staff at Altar are so easy to work with. After listening to my personal style and what I wanted in a wedding dress, they found a few dresses for me. They were patient as I tried them on and helped to add accessories to each dress. They weren't pushy and overwhelming - a great experience!

I had an amazing experience in Kansas City shopping for wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. When I found Altar Bridal, I loved their website then was totally comfortable when my mom and sisters and I hung out and shopped for my designer gown. The space is beautiful and the staff is superb and seemed to understand exactly what my needs were.
