In the 30 days this place has been open, we've had the pleasure of dining in once and taking home once. Both times, pizza is FANTASTIC! As a former New Yorker, I have to say that Pizza is an important food group (yes, food group), and there are VERY FEW places in the Kansas City area that can make a pizza worth anything! Nicky's can make a damn good pizza. Now, it is not New York, I'd have go to NY for it, but since that can get a bit pricey, Nicky's works perfectly! The crust is not a thick-chewy crust, but no so thin I feel like I'm eating a pizza cracker. I like the crust a bit crispier so I ask for them to make it crispy. The first time we dined in, my daughter and I had the cheese bread (yum) and each ordered what we thought was personal pizzas ... we could have shared one small one. No biggie. The second time we ordered a pizza to take home as my husband hadn't been able to part-take yet -- he was very impressed. We only ordered a pizza before leaving on vacation and we enjoyed every single bite. Tonight we are having pizza and salads delivered -- 90 degrees on April 1, well, it's just too hot to cook! Thank goodness for Nicky's!!
I seen this place so I thought I'd giver a try. Now since I'm a po-dunk mid-westerner I usually like my chinese food on the milder side but shazam!!! I tell ya what thems Thai folks sure can cook up some good grub!!!!! I sure am glad I didn't spend my combo meal money at mac donalds. 7 buck sure can go alittle further there and my arteries don't feel as clogged after. I did read the first review and I think that snobby little spoon feed idiot doesnt know squat. Keep buying your 6 dollar mocha latte cappocinos crap from starbucks. Cuz them Thai folk don't need your kind anyhow. Loved the food Thai House. Keep it coming!!!!! I love the spices!!!! My tastebuds have had an orgasmic relelation!!! New lover of Thai Cuisine Geez I just wish there was more Thai Restuarants us midwesterns need to be cultured in authentic cuisines. God knows theres enough burger joints. Take a look at your waistline prolly from super sizing them fries!!! Mason Black
I loved this place! Large portions, low prices, and the best smoked meats ever! I've gone back several times. I've had the pulled pork sandwich, the smaller smoked burger, and finally the brisket sandwich! BEST. BRISKET. EVER! On top of the actual food, their sauces are amazing. I had a hard time deciding which was my favorite, but I finally decided on the "Man-Killer", although, the cook/owner said it was going to be hotter the next time I make it there. Friendly, family owned restaurant! My husband was THRILLED with their "B-B-Q Pie" Appetizer... Beans and brisket piled on their cross cut (waffle) fries. (You have your choice of fritos or fries and pulled pork or brisket) - My recommendation - go with the brisket! It was busy all three times I was there, but the chicken was also very popular and the ribs looked great! Unfortunately, I can only try one thing at a time!
