went to buy $8000 worth of appliances and all I git where lies and the old sales bait and switch. I thought I was purchasing one Item only to find out it was not what we wanted and then they switched it to a much more expensive Item. I also spoke to what he called himself the grandson of the owner and he too made me drive there only to try an pull the same thing on me. I went to Sears purchased better quality high end appliances for the same price and it was delivered and Installed in 2 days not 3 to 4 weeks like Nebraska wanted.


They tell you it'll have free ...

They tell you it'll have free delivery and should be there august 30th (ordered it august 4th). Sounds like a good deal. Then you agree that's fine I won't need a crib for a bit because the baby isn't due till sept. 21st. Then call and the crib isn't supposed to be delivered till october 11th. How did it go that far off close to a month and a half later than was originally told. I'm not exactly trilled about the delivery/follow up. If I would have known you were going to push back delivery that long I won't have ordered it from somewhere else.

The best retailer in the country

I am very surprised by many of these reviews. I have shopped at Nebraksa Furniture Mart since it opened in KC in 2003 and have had great experiences every time. The prices are great and the service has always been very good. Contrary to many things I have read, NFM has over 200 employees that have worked at NFM for over 20 years (most in Omaha). I strongly encourage you to go to NFM if you need furniture, flooring, appliances, or electronics - you will be happy you did.


HOW DARE YOU! Today, you tried...

HOW DARE YOU! Today, you tried to dump a used, dirty mattress on me! How many others have you scammed who didn't notice that you were delivering a used product to them, sold as new? I will surely let my friends, neighbors, and anyone on the internet know what you TRIED to pull on me. You have sure shown what kind of company you REALLY are - truly pathetic! Again, NFM brought me a dirty, used mattress when I paid more than $1000 for a new Sealy mattress! How's that for business?


You're not gonna find a better...

You're not gonna find a better quality item at a cheaper price and the selection is huge. The delivery service are independent contractors and NFM doesn't really have a way to police what the drivers do when the merchandise leaves the store. If you do not want to risk your product getting damaged when you receive it, get it through the Customer Pick-Up or walk out of the store with it yourself.

NFM is not like Target or Best Buy because all products come from a very large warehouse on-site. NFM tries to find all damaged items before they even make it to the warehouse. I can guarantee you that when your item leaves the store that it will be undamaged, so anything that has happened to it once it leaves the store is not the stores fault.


Not Good!

Just because you are the biggest store around does not mean you have the right to treat customers unfairly. Sure you do a great volume of business, but customer service lacks. After being told repeatedly on the phone and many trips to the store trying to get something on sale, was told to go get the next best item. Turned out it was more money than they wanted settle for. What a waste of time!


The worst Customer Service/Delivery Service

This is the third time I've purchased items from NFM and scheduled items for delivery. Each time I have had teh same experience with delivery. Today my delivery time was scheduled from 12 to 2 pm. 2 pm rolls around and no delivery truck. I took time off work and waited the two hour period. I called the Customer Service 5, yes 5 times and was placed on eternal hold. I received a call back from them at 3:20 pm telling me the delivery truck is at my house. I went back to work at 2. They stated i could meet them at my house or reschedule for another day. Needless to say I cancelled the Order. Then I called the CEO of the company and left a voice mail, be interesting to see if I get a return call. I will say they have excellent and a helpful sales staff but the delivery service/customer service is the worst.


Don't Buy a Plasma From NFM

In Feb 2008, we purchased a 50" Samsung Plasma 1080p for $2,099.99. We also bought the 4 year extended warranty from NFM and paid $329.99. The MEGA Performance Guarantee offers to repair the TV for no additional cost and the "No-Lemon Policy" states "If your product fails more than three times due to the same problem, it will be replaced." So, the power unit on our Plasma has failed in March 2009, the moment the NCCA Tournament began, on November 17, 2009, December 22, 2009, and January 18, 2010. Same problem every time and we have been without our TV about two weeks each time. And guess what? NFM and their warranty provider have determined that we still don't get a replacement Plasma. They will fix it for the FOURTH TIME and we will be without our Plasma in about a month. Wish we had purchased at Costco.


Bad service but many choices

We have purchased several things from NFM...would guess total spend there is about $15k over the last 5 years. I've had 2 significant issues. First, they set up a washer/dryer incorrectly, it subsequently leaked all over the floor, caused over $7k in restoration service. NFM absolutely would not assist us in any way. In fact, they were very rude, and I intended to never go back there. Thank God for insurance. However, they've run most of the other furniture stores out of the KC area, so if you want selection/decent prices, there's not much choice. So a few years later I went there and bought several stainless high end appliances for the kitchen. We had arranged to have the old ones donated to worthy causes. This time, their delivery folks broke the doors on the old oven when they removed it. Mistakes happen...but what bothers me is they did not tell me. I discovered the damage a few days later when I moved the oven in my garage, doors fell off in my hand, lucky the glass did not cut me. They obviously had to set it up to look like it wasn't broken, it was an attempt to just not have to deal with it. To NFM's credit, this time when we called they arranged for replacement parts that were shipped promptly to my home. They also offered to have someone come by and assemble it but I was able to figure it out myself. I'm thankful to an extent...they tried to make it right. But there's an underlying integrity issue with their delivery folks, which they are inconsistent in backing up, and it greatly disappoints me.


Run for your life!!!!!

We tried to pick up the same sofa 3 times and is was the wrong piece or damaged every time!!! We'll never do business with them again.
