This customer brought his vehicle to the shop because Mazda quoted over 1k to repair his issue. There was a chance we could try to repair his vehicle for under $500.00 by replacing just the solenoid and not the entire engine cover. With his permission we tried. Our attempt failed and we ended up having to perform the full repair which involved removing the engine to replace the bad cam solenoid and front cover. The money he paid us for the first repair attempt was credited back toward the price to perform the full repair. We paid the cost of parts from the first repair attempt. The fact that he had to bring his vehicle back multiple times is due to a holiday. He choose to pick up his vehicle and return it after the holiday to perform the final repair. This customer still paid less than the dealership quoted him for the repair. Calling us "overpriced" is simply inaccurate. Saying we kept charging him money each time is a lie. Saying it took to long to repair is due to an attempt at saving the customer money, a holiday and inaccurate repair information published on Mitchell 1 repair. This job took longer than it should but the car was repaired well and under his dealership quote.
