One thing I've noticed about my fellow reviewers is that we truly enjoy praising a worthy establishment. We are optimists and like giving credit where credit is due. That having been said, Jaspare's is very deserving of a five star rating. Let's start with the food. I always respect a place that has gluten-free items. Jaspare's had Gluten-free items before most people even knew what gluten was. I would have to put myself on that list of people. Many restaurants have traditionally shied away from gluten-free items especially in the Italian food realm because it demands the entrée still be delicious and marketable despite being gluten-free. This creates a greater demand upon culinary skills and this restaurant absolutely nails it. Whether you are ordering pizza, pasta, or a sub, the menu items here are all consistently delicious. Beyond the pizzas my personal favorite is the steak sub. The tender juicy meat is flavorful and it's also loaded with cheese. The Owner is usually around and Employees here are always gracious and do a great job. Jaspare's also takes pride in supporting the local community. Over the years I've seen them donate to WMU, Churches, Schools, Race For Kids Sake, Generous Hands and many other charities. I appreciate a locale that thinks about its community in addition to its own interests. Great job Jaspare's Pizza! Keep up the good work.

My husband and I stayed here over this last weekend for two nights. Well the price was right compared to other hotels in the area, there were a few glitches we ran into. The first and foremost was that our room was not cleaned the second day we were there. We went to the hotel front desk and were told it should have been. The girl did not seem surprised however that it was not. We were tired and we ask for some clean towels of which they had very few. Secondly, this is a non-smoking property. Why then did my husband and I continuously have to walk through smoke? Everyone sat on the steps, on the hotel balcony, and in front of the doors smoking. You could not walk out your front door without walking through somebody's cigarette smoke. There needs to be a designated smoking area or no smoking on the property. A nonsmoker should not smell like smoke in a non smoking property. There was one small bar of soap for the whole stay. The light over our sink area did not work until the middle of the night where it came on all by itself. Most buttons on our TV remote did not work. The room was clean enough the first night. It was convenient and mostly quiet.
Our stay was great. The staff were very knowledgeable and were very accommodating. We requested a quiet room. She put is in just that. Breakfast was pretty standard. Waffle iron, Cereal, toast, juice & coffee. The rooms were clean and very modern in design. Appliances should be updated. More electric outlets NEED to be installed. Running power strips is very dangerous. Big downfall for us was no guest laundry. As a last minute getaway, we needed laundry service. The woman at the front desk was helpful in directions to the nearest laundry mat though. When it came to shower /bathroom extras, the product was a nice brand, but no hair conditioner. I couldn't wash my hair during our lovers weekend. No way to get a brush threw my hair with out it! No lotion either. Only 2 shampoo, a bath bar & a face bar of soap. All in all, for the price, it was a great stay. We will define back if the opportunity comes our way. Planned or unplanned :-)
