For the last 20 years or longer I would buy a brick of 22 a month from Brandon's but 22 ammo as of the last couple years has been getting sparse. So I was searching online to find out if it was possible today at least in Joplin to find a case of it to put back. I shoot a lot of varmints and would rather just have a large supply. One of the hits I got was the guys comment below about Brandon's Gun Trading Co being “Gougers and Ripoffs”. I just want to say as of late Brandon's supply of 22 is lower than I have seen in years but unless you’re buying the match grade 22, his regular stuff has never cost me or any of my friends any more than 2 bucks a box and isn't that what it should cost? I have seen them sell a brick for 20 bucks but they usually restrict that to people buying a gun. I was told when the supply flow starts running that people will be able to buy what they want again. But anyway I have bought 32 guns in the last 20 years and have purchased them all at Brandon's but one. I got that one from Academy when they had that Taurus 9mm for $299.00 and just couldn't pass it up. But now I have to tell on myself, if I had waited for about a month I could have bought it new from Kelly at Brandon's for $288.00. Patience Grasshopper...

I have been trading, buying and selling guns with country gun shop since it was started about 8 years ago. I have always been treated very well, they have bent over backwards to make the deal work and make me happy, a happy customer will always come back and that is their motto. I have been buying guns for 50 years, since I started dealing with country gun, I. Won't trade anywhere other than there. In reference to the last review, I don't know where you could go and take a new gun out of a sealed case and start taking it apart, that is a slap in the face to the shop owner. You can't go to a new car dealer and proceed to take a car apart or go to sears and take a washer apart, that was rude and not necessary.
I moved to Joplin 3 years ago and have been to every local gun store within 60 miles and Brandon's is the best- Brandon and Kelly always help me above and beyond what I expect, always have funny stories, and are straight shooters- never pushing a sale based on price, but what best suits me as the customer. If you enjoy witty and sarcastic jokes and have a sense of humor, no pushy or snobby salesman, and can get a cup of coffee and talk shop...go to Brandon's. Sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows your name... FYI: just bought 22LR cheaper than Academy.
