Founded in 1988, Coalition for Kids is a non-profit organization that helps low-income and at-risk children. It offers reading and math assistance and conducts classes in music and arts. Its awesome kids club is an after- school tutoring and homework program that focuses on meeting children's educational needs as identified by their teachers. The organization s kids in action is an evening program that includes mentoring and free extracurricular activities. Coalition for kids daily summer program includes several recreational and educational activities for community children. It also offers special preventive programs for the victims of violence and substance abuse. It is located in Johnson City, Tenn.
