When I purchased my Brother Machine 3 years ago they were very helpful. The ladies were very kind and helpful in teaching the machine to me. Since that time I would not recommend them to anyone. When my machine was in for yearly service, they had it over 2 months. Oh, they are very busy I was told. I should have seen the signs with all the machine sitting around and only one person works on them, who is never in the store.

So fast forward to today. My automatic threader wasn't working. Called and they said they would have to order the part. that was over 6 weeks ago with me calling them to see if the part was in yet. So, they call yesterday and say the part came in and if I could bring the machine in today at 11 am that Tim could fix it within an hour. Returned 2 hours later and there it sat. Tim never came in and the other gentlemen said everything was written down, but it was too much for him to do. So I kindly took my machine left the store and will never go back. We've spent over 5 thousand dollars in that store in the last 3 years and it stops now.

I've only had one interaction with Jerry's -- but I was not impressed. I took in my elderly Bernina for repairs. Weeks later, I was told they "couldn't work on it" and to take it elsewhere because it needed "extensive" repairs. A different repair shop fixed the simple problem, which required a part that had to be ordered from Bernina. Too complex and too much work for Jerry's, I guess. They weren't particularly rude or condescending, just disinterested -- probably because I wasn't buying a new model. I plan to avoid them.

I am confused by the reviews with negative comments...my experience was the complete opposite. Do not pay attention to those reviews and go to Jerry's for your sewing machine needs. For the record, I was the recipient of outstanding customer service! I was given individual attention and made to feel like I was the only customer in the store, which by the way I was for maybe 5 minutes and then a rush of regular patrons (obvious from the exchange of first names and greetings) took place but I did not feel rushed or pressured to make a purchase. The owners are knowledgeable and I enjoyed their good humor. I did buy a mid range priced sewing machine and am very pleased with my purchase. It sews beautifully. The shop was full of machines...new ones in boxes for sale and new machines set up for customers to try out.

I am giving the store one star but it should be zero. Bought a top line Brother machine and have had nothing but trouble. Took it in for repair and had to wait 4 weeks for it. When we got it, Tim was very condescending and made you feel like an inferior human being when you asked questions.

In less than 4 weeks it did not work again. Took it to another repair store and for half the cost got it repaired and cleaned again. Found thread in the back of the machine that should have been removed in the cleaning at Jerry's

Stay away from them.

Overall

I found this store very friendly and easy to work with. Tim is wonderful I bought my VM 6200 D from them and was very satisified with their service. When I picked up my machine Tim spent over 2 hours with me teaching and showing me the machine. I have to drive over 2 hours to get there and will be going back for other classes and service. All I need to do is call a few days in advance and they will set a time aside for me or the machine GREAT SERVICE!!!

I bought my sewing machine from them a few years ago and have since bought all my accessories with them. When it came time to have your standard tune-up done, I called to ask about timing, etc. I was told that I would need to leave my machine with them for 4-5 weeks. It could be quicker than that, but no one could say.



When I told them that ths was unacceptable, the woman from Jerry's laughed and said, "I know." If I had known that this is what it would be like after buying the machine, I would never have done buisness with them. In hindsight, the machines piled up around the store should have been a clue.



I would strongly urge folks to stay away from here. I wouldn't trust them one bit. It's amazing to me that they manage to stay in business. They've lst my business - from now on I'm going elsewhere.

Terrible. I waited for months...

Terrible. I waited for months for them to call me back on a trade in machine only to find that they lost my phone number. When I called them, they said they would accept my trade in. I went in with some accessories for the machine to give them, they said they didn't know when the owner would be in, but they would call me on Monday. I waited for two weeks, then went into the store. When I spoke with the owner, he said I had abandoned my machine, threatened to throw it away and revoked the trade in agreement. Things changed very quickly in two weeks! I explained that I was waiting for a call that I was promised and he said to stop making excuses and get out of his store. I will not go back, for certain.
