I can relate to the Post Office and mailmen being super unreliable. My packages are never delivered to the apt, although there is a doorbell with the name written BIG and BOLD on it. Plus it's never on time, i mail to the Bronx, Richmond Hill, & Jamaica.....Jamaica, 11432 is the only one with issues!!!! Plus they never answer the phones at the post office.
They surely need a wake-up call. It's frustrating and irritating especially when we are paying for a service.

how about a 0 star?
- does not fulfill package pickup requests then sends you "pickup completed" emails.
-does not leave slips for missed packages
-leaves expensive big packages in front of the door at an apartment building full of 90+ apartments for people to steal
-does not fulfill redelivery requests
-service in person is slow and they take their sweet time as if people have nowhere to go.
-actually told my folks "you request too many pickups and we can't carry this many. also people at the post office laugh at your family whenever i go back with all of your packages." nope...this is not made up.

conclusion: this place is nothing but a complete waste of taxpayers money.

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST post office I have ever dealt with in my life,,they lie,about everything,,an you can call there all day long they will never pick up the phone. The mail carriers act as though they don't want to answer your questions when you ask them something,about your mail,or packages. And here's the kicker, I order through Amazon a lot,and EVER PACKAGE,I said EVERY PACKAGE,that is sent through this postal service is never delivered on the delivery date,which I'm suppose to get it on,,how do I know because I have a small dog,an she barks when I get deliveries,and someone's always home for my deliveries,but strangely enough,I ALWAYS GET AN ATTEMPTED DEVIVERY ALERT ON MY PHONE,while I'm sitting in the house,,once in a while when they feel up to it, they may put a pink slip in my box,then I have to rush down to there post office on 164th street, in Jamaica,an stand in this god for saken line,, for a 1/2 an hour, with 2 service Windows,but only one is open.TOTALLY RIDICULOUS

if i could give this place a negative 500 stars i would. i was supposed to receive a package yesterday. their website said delivered at 920 pm. and it said they left it in a totally different zip code other than mine. i firmly believe that they stole my package. i have had it up to here with the creeps bullsh$t! if you have a complaint, i urge you all to call Thomas P. Murphy, C&IC Manager @ 718-348-3628, his fax number is 718-348-3774. Also forward you complaints to Deborah Randall Consumer Relations Specialist @ 202-789-6875, Fax 202-789-6891. everyone needs to complain to these two individuals. they are in charge and should know what's going on at this local post office. please document all of your complaint and tracking numbers, so that they can be sent to these two persons in charge! these horrible workers at 164th st. usps must be dealt with asap!

I have been trying to call this post office for the past few days, Jamaica Post Office on 164th Street, 11432. No one is answering the phone. It just rings constantly. I left something for our mailman for a week now, over the holiday and I wanted to know if our mailman is on vacation. This post office is lousy for not picking up calls. As another person stated, we are paying for a service. I wish I could ignore some people, when they call at my place of business, but it's part of my job to answer the darn phone.

The idiots that work here or so rude. Please stay away from this post office.

For the past 2 yrs these ppl has put me thru hell. Some letters never show up to my mailbox and shipping sucks that's me begin very nice. The postal ppl and their online tracking doesn't go hand in hand, they never come to my door or at leave a proof ,that pink slip to show they made an attempt and yet they will put in online that they did. Their supervisor are just as bad even worse cos they have this nonchalant behavior and cutting you off when you are trying to explain something to them. I have actually meet and spoken to three of the two female and the male they never ever resolve a darn thing. Calling is waste of time cos nobody ever answer their phone or it will automatically end your call. Oh they would usually give you this 1800 ask usps that's another bull, you can complain all you nothing gets done. Their favorite word we will call you back to follow up for where. Now biggest joke of all the 7183483900 oh lord don't even try. They bunch of ppl who not want to do their jobs I have never 2 yrs I have nothing good to say about them but Uber millions of bad experience. Only one while mid age woman at window 1 or the last window know y she comes to work and wat her duty is one of out of 12 or more of them sad. They know they alway send to me speak to their supervisor to no aveil. I have never been the type to rate anything but this is classic, on a different level all on its own.

Mail people are terrible. My mailman is constantly stealing my packages--- isn't that a federal offense???? Another time, my super found my package in another building on the floor. Same mailman-- I checked. I keep calling customer service and thy keep claiming that they are "escalating the case" but it seems like they are just pacifying me because nothing is ever actually done. This particular office never answers the phone. I hope this office gets shut down for good with no benefits for the workers because Gd knows they don't deserve a penny for their lack of work. I'm not surprised this office is in Jamaica, NY. You would think that something that is government-funded would be more reliable. Terrible!!!!!

THIS OFFICE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE. I FEEL THAT THE DRIVERS DO NOT WANT TO DO THEIR JOBS, BECAUSE I NEVER HAD TO PICK UP MY PACKAGES BEFORE, NOW I DO. I NEVER RECEIVE A NOTICE ABOUT ANY OF MY PACKAGES. I AM ON THE FIRST FLOOR AND FOR SOME REASON, THE DRIVER CAN'T WALK UP ONE FLIGHT.I WAS TOLD THAT MY PACKAGE WAS ON HOLD FOR PICK UP, AND THEN A NEIGHBOR BROUGHT THE SAME PACKAGE TO MY DOOR SAYING HE FOUND IT ON THE FLOOR BY THE MAILBOXES. THERE IS ONE DRIVER THAT WE HAD FOR A LONG TIME, AND HE IS PERFECT, BUT IF HE IS ON VACATION, YOU CAN BELIEVE, THAT WILL BE A PICKUP WEEK FOR ME TO GO AND GET MY PACKAGE. THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE ONE STAR, IS BECAUSE, THERE WAS NOTHING LESS.

Manager Marvin Jackson is the most inept and discourteous customer service person EVER!! As opposed to accepting blame for his staff's failure to do their job and attempting to rectify the problem, he add insult to injury! There is absolutely no wonder why the USPS is failing and likely will close..and when it does...I really hope they are denied unemployment benefits since they refused to do their jobs when employed!!!!

Awful Service. I don't get my mail. I can't get anyone on the phone at the jamaica main post office. I ordered gifts for the holiday from overseas. They lay in the post office for days and then are returned back to the sender. No notice, nothing. I have lost money and time. They do not care and no one is managing that place. Everyone passes the buck. Terrible, terrible.
