If there was option for 10 stars, I would have picked 10 stars. Let’s start with the company I was going with. We set up an appointment to drive down to St Augustine to see some floor samples, and we drove 45 mins to get there. Just to find out that all of their main floor samples were not in the store because it was being shown at a local Home Improvement show. I wish they would have told us that before driving there. Either way we set up an appointment to have our floors measure. An hour before they were suppose to show up, he called me to tell me he was not able to make it, and that we needed to reschedule. That same day my wife I decided to visit The Floor Trader of Jacksonville on Beach Blvd. We didn't have an appointment. We just walked in and from the very second we walked in Scott Burton greeted us. We told him that we know that it's near their closing time but we just wanted to look. Scott said not to worry about closing time, that we should take our time and ask him any questions we have.. So we did.... Long story short, we walked out of there with the PERFECT FLOOR (Tiger Wood) and an awesome Finance deal. The installer (Justin) was at our house the following day to measure. WHAT A PROFESSIONAL GUY.. A week later his crew installed my floors... AGAIN WHAT A PROFESSIONAL group of guys.. What Justin includes in his Standard square footage price. Other companies will charge you extra for. These guys were awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again 10 stars…. If you think you will get better service by paying extra at one of these private floor shops. THINK AGAIN… The Floor Trader of Jacksonville is much better. Thank you Scott for your EXCELLENT customer service, Justin (floor Mgr) for the financing options and thank you Justin (installer) and crew for a wonderful job.
I went to 4 other places to obtain a total of 5 quotes. Of the 5 places total, I chose San Jose Flooring for several reasons. 1) They gave me an itemized and complete/thorough proposal, which outlined every aspect of the job from start to finish, instead of several other flooring stores who either only verbally gave me a total number, or gave me a scratch piece of paper or typed paper with very little information on it to let me know what I was actually paying for. 2) They use the same installers they have used for many years, and use those installers for all of their jobs instead of going down a list of installers. 3) Although their prices were not the lowest, they were also not the highest, and with the detailed proposal I knew exactly how the total was calculated. 4) They have a very large showroom with lots and lots to choose from. They even gave me fair prices on items I was inquiring about that they didn't have in their store but that they could get. 5) The level of knowledge and the information they were readily able to give me about my project at hand. This, in addition to the design ideas and suggestions they were able to help us with, too. After we had our master bathroom remodeled, because of our experience above, we came back for my entire kitchen cabinets, countertops, and tile floor. WE LOVE THEM, they are nothing less than beautiful, and with minimal inconvenience from their installers. They worked fast and very skillfully. We are in the market for a new home and plan to continue our home improvements through San Jose Flooring & Cabinets
My husband and I went to several flooring stores in Jacksonville, including Lowes & Home Depot, and we found that Floor Trader had the biggest selection of hardwood floors. I was very happy to see how much they had in stock and available for us to take home right away (big plus as we were in a hurry to get new floors in). The prices are similar to every other flooring store (no more, no less). The salesperson who assisted us was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the flooring and installation process (we installed it ourselves). The flooring was easy to put down, nice quality and looks beautiful.
