First off, this business doen't deserve a star rating. I wouldn't have rated if I didn't need to. The business is a joke.
I've been dealing with this junkyard for a few years now. I've very well known up there. But always run into the same problems. The girls that check you in are very rude. I wasn't prepared to put up with it today. I'm the kind of person that is friendly to all and I try to be as helpful and ready when I get to the window. But sometimes I don't know always know what I need. I just like to walk thru and browse. The way I see it, its people like me that pay your paycheck. Sometimes I find things I want and other days leave there empty handed. But for sure before you leave. They want to search you. I've never personally been patted down but I have been questioned. First off I'm not a criminal. I've never stolen anything. I was raised better. If I wasn't a hard worker, I wouldn't be in a junkyard pulling parts. Only thing on my record are a few driving infractions. I have money and don't need to steal items from your yard. Today, i was going to purchase a whole bracket set up for a serp. belt mod I was gonna attempt. All I needed was the brackets. No ac, no atl, no pulleys of any. When they old man first read out the price, I was cool with it. Due to the fact that it looked like more than what it really was. The bracket turned into being a few pieces. I tried to explain what it was and how it was put together he told me it didn't matter and it wasn't as one unit. It all bolts up when you add the ac, the alt, ect ect. Anyways, bottom line is. This place is a rip off and makes what I thought was an enjoyable day to a crappy one. I don't enjoy being treated like a 1st grader or a thief. I called up there today to speak to Gary *the manger* and the only thing he said after I told him who I was, was "your not allowed here anymore". Then hung up on me. I called back for a second time. They picked up and hung up. Waited a few and called back. I was told Gary wasn't there. Haha I told the young man that I had just spoke with him and then he explained that Gary wasn't available. Great management there buddy. I did leave in a bit of a rage and don't plan on ever going back. I'm tired of the lies and the bull crap that comes with this junkyard. They make you feel like your ripping them off just before they rip you off.
For the ones reading this. This has been my experiences every time I've been there. Many can relate I'm sure. If you can please keep the reviews coming. Good or bad. I can say I've had some great days up there. But its always been in between the part of doing work and dealing with them. They suck! -

Deceptive and unprofessional. I went to Ace looking for a seatbelt for my car but before I came in, I checked their website for prices at http://www.acepickapart.com/pricing.php?a=s and it clearly lists seatbelts for $6.00. What they don't tell you is that the price is only for half of a seatbelt. The part I needed was the retractor and upon entering, I was told that the female half was $6 and the retractor would be $7 for a total of $13. I thought it wasn't bad, so I payed my $3 to enter, got a list of cars and searched for an hour and a half before finding one that wasn't broken. On my way out, after being searched for parts, I was informed that the price for the part was now $15 by itself. WHAT!? I did all the hard work myself and ended up paying double what I was quoted. Highway robbery if you ask me. This place has lost all of my future business. I say if you take your chances with them, make them sign a quote before paying to enter.

They are rude, deceptive and treat you like you are a felon. First of all they scan your ID and charge you $3 to JUST LOOK for a part. Second, most of their cars are stripped of any decent parts. Third, their "customer service" is waiting in like for 30 min and overcharging you.
My experience with Ace: I went with a buddy of mine a few weeks ago to help him pull a part off. They made me pay $3 because I was helping him. I saw a few cars there and needed a new steering wheel for my car. I came back a few weeks later and after waiting in line for 20 min to get in, Had to wait another 30 min to check out. I brought some tools in my backpack that I keep a lot of my automotive tools in. I had been working on my car that week and had some misc bolts/parts at the bottom. So after waiting 30 min to check out in 95 degree heat. I was told they would have to search my bag (even though I had showed them at the front when I checked in) and after clearing all my tools out, they found a few misc parts at the bottom and immediately accused me of stealing. I apologized and explained I had forgotten they were there and I was told I had to pay for my own parts or they would call the police. They were extremely rude and treated me like a thug. Honestly, if they think I need to steal $15 worth of parts they have bigger problems. I decided to turn my cheek and pay the $15, and trying to explain to the lady about this, she began to tell her office workers I was banned for 30 days. I explained it was a mistake and that is a little extreme. I am not a thief. She said the owner just wanted to call the police. They had ZERO evidence that those parts were not mine. If I didn't have a busy day, I would have waited in the sweltering heat for the police. Not only do they charge you to get in, overcharge for parts, unhelpful and rude, they accuse you of STEALING!! I am not angry, I am just sad that people have to live their lives in such paranoia.

ALL CUSTOMERS SIGN A STATEMENT WHEN THEY ENTER OUR SALVAGE YARD THAT THEY HAVE NOT BROUGHT ANY PARTS INTO THE YARD. THIS IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE THAT PEOPLE WILL LIE AND SAY UNTRUTHS WHEN CAUGHT SEALING WE WISH THAT THEY WOULD NOT TRY STEALING AUTO PARTS !!!

waste of money. if you want to waste money and pay close to what something is new then go here. and apparently if you happen to pull something and there just so happens to be another part in it you will get kicked out for 30 days for theft , which happened to me and a friend, so because of that we are never going back. and just for proof that ace pick a part is a scam me and the same friend happen to pull a turbo that is over 20 years old out of a car and they wanted 130 dollars for.
if you feel like be scammed go a head but otherwise stay away from this place

They saved me.
They saved me. My tail lite got backed into at Target, and the dealer wanted $133 for a new one. I found Ace on the internet, and they had 10 of my cars. I pulled it off a car myself and paid $40 for it. The lite fit great, and I have extra money in my pocket.

DO NOT GO TO THIS JUNKYARD!!-I went to get a waterpump, all the cars that would fit mine were in the same area. I had brought my 60 year old mother along so she could and me tools. I was under the car working and my mothers p
hone went dead .lost track of time, I did not get the piece I needed , but could sense it was getting late. However when we went to the front to leave (which was 5:45) . Closing is at 5:30). They closed up , locked up gates and locked us in the junkyard! Then had our car towed!! They claimed they claimed they looked all over for us and went to the area where the cars were that we needed, WE never moved from the same car the whole time , which was only four cars in from the main road. So if they looked they didn't look hard, nor did they yell or sound a horn or bell to let us know it was time to close. How convienent the tow company shares property with the junkyard , we saw them and were screaming to get their attention. They came and let us out , then informed us that they towed our car right next door and we had to pay $106 to get it back. She was very nasty when we let her know we were already upset being locked foR the past hour and now she was just doing her job. So needless to say , we paid $3 each to get in , didn't get the part for my car, got locked in n, it was dark and getting cold. Then had to pay to get our car back. - I think the junyard and the tow company have a scam going on with the towing of the vehicles. :-(.Response from GARY SR

I agree with the other reveiws DO NOT GO THERE save your time and money, theyy list one thing then charge you another price. first you pay 3 dollars to get in, next NO tool bags or back packs aloud so I guess if you buy 2 bumpers you will just have to leave your tools there cause you only have 2 hands. and last if I wanted to pay 150 for a bumper then i would go to rusty acres and get one thats already been pulled by them. Dont go very rude people!

SINCE WE ARE SELF SERVICE WE GIVE EVERY CUSTOMER A LIST OF WHERE THE PARTS ARE LOCATED AND PRICE BEFORE THE GO TO GET THE PART THEY KNOW THE COST BEFORE IF WE DONOT HAVE A CAR THAT MAY HAVE THE PART THEY ARE LOOKING FOR WE DON LET THEM IN

Huge Selection, Clean and safe
Great place to find what you need. They had several of my trucks out there and I found the right color too. No weeds or snakes or cars laying on the ground. I wish more places were like them

Would not send my worst enemy to these Punks. Rat Bastar*#* Just take your car. Tell you one price on the phone then you have to follow the stinkin As* wrecker driver back to get jerked around. First they take the tow at 75 bucks off my price then knocked off another 100 because the hood and fender were damaged. I sold a JUNK car. And told them in advance about the damage. When I didn't want to sell the said I still owed for the tow and had 30 min. To get my car off their lot. I Did and didn't pay the so called tow fee. Of course with threats. That's ok didn't scew me Pieces Of Trash. Beware!!! Owner is Worse than the Employees and that's not sayin much. Their All Scum. Warning do not by or sale.

WE HAVE ALWAYS OFFERED LOCATION AND PRICE INFORMATION AT YARD OFFICE. WE ALSO ARE THE ONLY YARD IN THE CONNTRY TO SHOW PICTURES AND LOCATION OF WHAT IS AVAIABLE

Too expensive for a Junkyard!
First you have to pay $3.00 just to get in. Then you have to walk around and between cars until you find the part you are looking for. Then after all the trouble, they charge a lot of money for old beat up parts. E.g. old rear bumper off an old chevy, $130.00! I will NEVER go back.

OUR PRICES ON PARTS AS WELL AS ALL OTHER SELF SERVICE RECYCLING YARDS ARE MUCH LESS EXPENCIVE THEN NEW DEALERS PARTS AND FULL SERVICE YARDS
