Just went to Camicakes for the first time. I was surprised the cupcakes were so small. I was expecting the larger size. Especially for $2.50 each. The amount of icing on the top was also not consistent. We bought 4. One had a huge amount and the other 3 barely had any. The shop is decorated very cutely, but when we walked in we were not greeted at all. There was a teenager behind the counter who I would imagine was the owners son, and then an older guy walked out who looked to be his dad. Neither of them said a word to us until we paid, and the boy said have a nice day (or something of that sort). They acted like they could have cared less if we were there or not, and for being a new family owned business, I expected some really good customer service. Afterall, you do want people to come back! If we'd had outstanding customers service and the cupcakes were larger, we might go back. Unless we're having a serious craving for Red Velvet, I doubt we will. I just didn't think it wasn't worth it. You can go to Publix and get cupcakes the same size for alot less money. Granted Publix doesn't have the same selection, but for that kind of money, I'd deal with it.
Best place in town everything is custom made and great people
Ms. Diane was professional, she provided friendly service, and most import the cake was delicious. She pays attention to every detail and everything you ask for, because it shows in her work. From the colors to the elegant design it was gorgeous. My guest and along with the most important the guest of honors really enjoyed the cake. I can say it was truly made with love. From the time I met with Diane to discuss what I wanted she made the entire process all about me and what type of event I needed the cake for; I really love her for that. She added a special touch to my very special event. This was not my first time using D & D Cakes for an event and will definitely not be my last time. I will tell anyone if you’re looking for a cake with a special touch as well as a great taste contact Diane with D & D Cakes, you will not be sorry. Ms. Diane, words can’t express enough how we loved the cake.
I visited this place after the New Year and the array of selection was great! I shared with the gal behind the counter about my love for the buttercream frosting. I told her it was my first time at the bakery. I was torn between the buttercream and coconut cupcake. I decided to get the buttercream frosting cupcake with white chocolate curls. When I got home and opened the box to my delight inside I found not only the buttercream frosting cupcake, but the coconut cupcake too. She snuck in the extra cupcake. Both cupcakes were devoured that afternoon. We also got a turnover pastry, italian bread loaf and 2 donut holes for my dogs. All bakery items were fresh and delicious. The service was superb and I will definately go back again.
