A good shoe repair is hard to find anywhere in Jacksonville---they are few and far between. However, Phil Pitts has been at it since 1985, and he is a true craftsman when it comes to the art of re-soleing and repairing all types of high end boots (leather, ostrich, snake skin, etc.) as well as fine leather dress shoes. in 1985 he connected his shoe repair to his father's barber shop, King Arthur's Barber Shop (est. 1971-- originally owned and operated by Phil's Dad, (King) Arthur Pitts Jr., then located at the Arlington Expressway Mall, Publix Shopping Center)--resulting in King Arthur's Barber/ Shop Shoe Repair. When the shopping center closed it's doors in 1995, the shop moved to it's current location in the Regency Walk Shopping Center on Atlantic Blvd., across from Brumos Mercedes dealership, approximately 3/4 of a mile from Regency Mall. Phil was raised to believe a man is known by the quality of the work he does--one of the secret's to his father's long-standing success; he has integrated this philosophy into his own work ethic--and it shows.

Ethel the owner has been cutting my families hair since '86. Took my son(6yrs) to one of those other salons and they messed his hair up. Went to Ethel she fixed it and no one else could ever cut his hair but Ms Ethel. He now buzzes his own hair, but both of his children go to her. I have also only been using Ethel since she started cutting my hair back then. I have followed her all the way to her own salon. My hair is always cut to my specifications and the coloring and perms I have had over the years were always perfect. My daughter has waist length hair and she was the only one that for her prom was able to get it to hold a curl. My husband loves he cuts also.
@jax1956 sounds like the crazy one to me. I have been going to Nancy for about 5 years now. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met. She loves cutting hair and treats her customers with the utmost respect. I personally know her and she has only had one really bad indecent with one customer and @jax1956 is him. He got into her chair and was demeaning, condescending, and an absolute psychopath. Every barber in that shop hated cutting his hair. GO TO NANCY she is wonderful and does an awesome job!! Your in and out and she is a pleasant conversationalist. :)
