The staff was courteous as we waited an extra 3 hours and 15 minutes for our room. This Comfort Inn was a stop-over for my family as we were on our way back from Orlando. We arrived quite early but were excited to hear we could check in at 2pm. Soon 2pm became 3pm, and at 3pm it was going 5, 10 and then 30 more minutes. 3:30 rolled around and we found out it would be 4. This is when our problem became Comfort Inn's. Due to a custodial staff shortage (which is always exciting when you’re climbing into a hotel bed) we gathered with other "homeless" guests in the lobby sharing stories and awaiting our room. At 4:15 my wife was told it would be 2 or 3 more minutes. In 2 to 3 more minutes we saw the front counter rep ask his counterpart what happened to room 537 and she cringed as she said she had given it to a guest that had just walked in. 4:30 became 5. FINALLY, 5:15 rolls around and we got our room! It should be noted that the staff was very nice just not helpful. Or, maybe they were helpful... I reckon it could have been 6. The rooms are decent. Our ocean front room had some bird poop on the deck but the room was relatively clean. The pool deck was very crowded and there was a shortage of chairs. Even with the slight discount we were given for our inconvenience, I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. If you can swing it, spend 20 dollars more and stay somewhere nicer. OR spend 60 dollars less and stay somewhere just as nice. In closing, the sky was blue, the ocean was blue, and Comfort Inn can't mess up the sand.
