I took my TORO walk behind in for a broken pull cord. After them having it for two days they told my wife the air filter was clogged along with the carb, and that is why the cord broke. Well according to TORO the cord was a warranty fix, but the air filter and carb was on me. I asked them if they had fixed the cord, and they said they had not because they had not had time to look at my mower. WAIT! You said to my wife that the filter and carb were clogged, but you haven't looked at my mower.

I started my mower with a drill and it ran fine. Why? Because I change the oil every 5 hours, and blow out the air filter with a compressor after every trimming. So it was just a flaw in the pull cord.

I then got a story from them about how a 1987 Toro they had never had the cord break. Umm. So! Tell me what in 20xx is made like something from back in 198x.

Needless to say I fixed the mower myself for $4 with a universal pull cord, but if I'd let these guys work on my mower it would have cost me $150 to $250 out of my pocket. If you need TORO warranty the other service center in Sherwood. I didn't take my mower there as I fixed it myself, but they were way more down to earth, and said to me that we can go over the mower top to bottom before you leave if you want to drop it off with us, and we'll fix the cord under warranty. But for $4, I just fixed it myself, and I am sending in the pics of the filter, carb, and the mower running by starting with my drill to prove these guys are up to no good by charging for parts that do not need to be replaced.
