AT&T Retail Store

I signed up for the special with James Shepherd. He told me all would get the combined billing special for $69 plus change and tax. I won't waste your time with all the misinformation I was given but will say I currently am paying Direct TV a separate monthly fee of $42.10 with a 2 yr contract that no one told me about until I got the bill and found out I would be paying two separate bills because James (I was told by AT&T and Direct TV) entered the order incorrectly into the system. So in addition to the bill from Direct TV I get a monthly bill from AT&T for $60.82 so instead of $69 a month plus tax I am paying over a $100 a month for two separate bills from two separate companies. I have talked to AT&T and they tell me they are not responsible because I made the mistake of getting the special from the wireless store. The Direct TV guy starting cussing as soon as he saw the order and he said "your sales rep was James, right? He enters all the orders wrong and makes extra work for everyone." Direct TV told me that they did not care that I had signed up for the special that my contract with them was 2 yr and I would pay a penalty of $480 if I canceled. AT&T wireless told me there was nothing they could do (and did not even acknowledge that they knew there was a special) because it was AT&T (landline) so I am stuck with it. So whatever you do - do not let James Shepherd enter your order or get the special from the wireless store if you want to get the package and signed up correctly.
