Great trainers who's time is free with your membership. Access to free weights, squat racks, machines, and a hot-tub. It is a small hot tub though. The only downside to this place, and the reason for three stars instead of five, is the silly pool hours. They have slowly over the years cut their pool hours to the point they close at 7pm on weekdays and are only open 8-noon on Saturdays even in the summer! Now it is an inside pool with heat, but it also gets pretty chilly in the winter even with the heat. The depth varies, from 4 feet to a little over 5 in the center so it's good for water aerobics and swimming and the instructors are nice. The pool also has a ramp and stairs so as to accommodate the disabled and the shower in the pool locker room has a chair or room for a wheelchair if need be. I would highly recommend it especially to people who may need a trainer's assistance.
Awesome place where the name of Jesus is lifted above all other names. Many needs are met and much love is spread through the numerous outreach programs that happen at Operation Upward, mostly to our precious inner-city children who are starving for a place to feel welcomed, loved, and safe from the cares of everyday life, even if just for a little while each week.
The salvation army provides an excellent service to those in need. They will even come to your home and pick up donations!! Give them a call or drop off things you aren't using anymore.
