Regency Hotel & Conference Center JacksonAdd to mybook
I have many complaints, but the one that did me in was checking my card activity yesterday to find I was not only charged the room fee (on the day of check in) but an additional $500 on the day of check out. I am accustomed to pre-authorization charges from hotels. REASONABLE PRE-authorization not 6 times the nightly rate for ONE night AFTER check out! I called at 8 this morning and was told I would need to call back at 10. I have called every half hour since 11 and the phone just ring...view mores and rings before eventually disconnecting. While searching for a corporate number, I have come to the conclusion that this hotel is not affiliated with Regency franchise at all. And I found a review on Trip Advisor from the same weekend with a complaint of a $3,100 charge on three rooms. This is absurd! If this truly is simply a hold in case of damage or to cover other charges, it is beyond unreasonable. But I am more inclined to suspect credit card fraud of the stupidest and worst kind.
Even without this, the hotel barely deserves a two star rating. The front desk clerk was very rude on the phone and in person. I was told there was no way I could check in early because there was only one housekeeper (during fair weekend when the hotel was more than likely fully booked!). Half the lights in the room didn't work and the electric outlets were so old nothing would stay plugged in, including the TV and floor lamp. And the desk clerk on check out barely acknowledged me when I tried to turn my keys in. Overall horrible experience.
--I finally got someone to answer the phone after calling fro 4 hours. I got the same response as before: that no one could help me. The clerk told me there was no manager on duty and I had to force her to take my number and promise to contact a manager immediately and have them call me back today. Needless to say, I have not heard from someone nor to expect to! I have never had such a horrible experience and been treated more unprofessionally by any establishment!view less
What kind of hotel does not allow person-to-person phone interaction. Everyone does not do biz OB computer duh. If u can't interact w/customers on a personal level, u must have a substandard place of business that has little 2 no basic marketing skills. Sounds like a do drop inn skank operation 2 me.Share Review
