Dental Care
Periodontal disease is the most common ailment found in dogs and cats over four years of age. It can lead to pain and tooth loss and result in bacterial infection of the heart, lungs and kidney. Veterinary Surgery
Dr. Melisa McLendon graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University in 1998 with a bachelors degree in dairy science, and again in 2002 with a doctorate from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McLendon practiced briefly in southern Mississippi before settling into the metro area. She has been at North State Animal Hospital since 2007. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and wound healing with tissue regeneration, utilizing laser therapy.

Our state of the art surgical suite enables our doctors to perform a wide variety of surgical procedures. Spaying or neutering your pet is one of the best ways to control the over population of animals.
