        FATTIEST STEAKS EVER!!

        My husband and I visited this cafe for the first time today, January 23, 2009. The atmosphere was very homey and we were welcomed. We both ordered king-cut rib-eye steaks since that is a favorite for us. Both our steaks were just loaded with fat, much more than we ever had on steaks before. We called our waitress over and I pointed to the huge amounts of unappealing, unedible fat on our plates and told her this was a large amount of fat. Her reply, "Well yes, there is!" We were shocked at the lack of concern and no explanation whatsoever. Her response, to us, meant she is aware that this is how the steaks are! We will never return or recommend.

        Visited tonight, January 23, 2009. My husband and I were told that this place was a homey atmosphere type cafe with good food. The homey atmosphere part was right, we were welcomed and the place was jammed. BUT, as far as the food, we both ordered the King-cut rib-eyes steaks. We were SOOOO disappointed! Although we are aware that these types of steaks have a little more fat than others, we were not prepared for the large amounts that ours both had. I told our waitress while pointing to my plate that there was an exceptional large amount of unedible fat on the plate, her comment was "well Yes, there is" and that was that. I took that to mean they are aware there meat is of this poor quality since no apology or reasoning was given. This place should be ashamed of itself!!!!

        Best established restaurant in Jackson! Best service and food, Mr. Bob is a wonderful man, gives out free drinks and deserts all the time!
